- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I am currently charge an hourly rate of $40 plus parts. Custom computer builds are by contract. I am reviewing a Teired services structure that will, hopefully, make my clients better prepared for what to expect.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will meet with a client and collect as much information as they have or can remember. I will make my initial assesment if I am able to assist and if so, proceed. I would then prefer to examine the device(s) and collect more information. Once I have completed my assessment, I will discuss my conclusions with the client, possible fixes, and if I think I am best suited to help. If they choose to do so, I will write a proposal and submit it to them for approval.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 3 years experience writing software for a national Insurance company. 2 years of RF engineering, 15 years signals and electronics experience (8 with the US Army). I am also pursuing several certifications in computer technology and electronics. I read daily on various disciplines in my field, and take online courses in related fields, 3 times a week.
