FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Yes! For details, please see my website (url on Thumbtack profile).
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When a customer contacts me, we usually email back and forth several times to ensure we are a good fit. If they book with me, I require 50% of the payment at that time and send the client my portrait contract, model release, and photo release. I also schedule a pre-session phone call to answer any questions the client might have and get to know him/her a little bit. A few days before the session, I email my client with a reminder of the date/time the session will take place. Once the session is done, I tell my client that their online digital proofs will be available in 2 to 3 days. They will then be able to look through the photos and email me a list of the numbers of the photos they want. I then typically edit the photos and have them ready and looking great on an online gallery within two weeks. From there, my clients can easily download all the photos for their personal use. They can also share the link to the gallery with friends and family. If prints are ordered, I usually get those to clients within a few days by meeting up at a coffee shop or dropping them off at their home.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am mostly self-taught but when I started out I also relied heavily on my good friends and family who are also photographers. Recently, I've learned new tips and tricks from experts' YouTube channels and then taken to the streets and nature to try out what I've learned. Never stop learning!
