Introduction: Who Are We Gary Peterson retired as the chief of police from the City of Martinez after 26 years of law enforcement service. During his career, he spent more than 12 years as an Investigator. He has both personally conducted and overseen a number of misconduct investigations and is well versed in public sector administrative investigations. He has been involved in disciplinary actions at all levels in the disciplinary process. Gary has a B. A. in Sociology from the University of California, Riverside, a M.S. in Criminal Justice from CSU-Sacramento and a Juris Doctor from John F. Kennedy University, School of Law. He is a graduate of the F.B.I. National Academy Session #247 and the Senior Management Institute for Police, (PERF) in Boston, MA. He is a graduate of the Association of Workplace Investigators National Institute. He is also a POST Certified as a Background Investigator and holds a Private Investigators License in California (PI#28945). Gary is focused on providing impartial, third-party internal investigations, executive and police/fire backgrounds. Patricia P. Peterson an Investigator-Attorney who was a sole practitioner for 10 years representing parents and children in high conflict custody cases. Prior to opening her own practice, she worked civil defense and was a deputy district attorney in the Bay Area. Patricia focuses on workplace investigations and sensitive executive backgrounds. Patricia earned a B. A. in Psychology from the University of Arizona and holds a Juris Doctor from California Western, School of Law. She was also the Editor of Law Review. She is 2014 graduate of the Association of Workplace Investigators National Institute.
