Introduction: Hi, I'm Eric Stetson! Chances are you're looking for a music instructor for yourself or someone close to you, or you're looking for a performer for an event. My wife and I just recently moved from Sacramento, CA, where I helped run music programs at two different churches and a music studio for developmentally disabled adults. I've come to Statesboro, GA to accept a graduate assistantship with Georgia Southern University (MM Music Technology) and will be teaching private lessons and performing while we enjoy life in the 'boro. I teach individualized lessons according to your specific desires - I like for you to keep a goal in mind for each session. I offer lessons in these areas: *Piano *Ukulele *Voice *Beginner Guitar *Songwriting/music technology *Drums Let me know if you'd like me to perform for you! I enjoy seeing a student find those "a-ha" moments, when they realize they had the talent all along and it just needed to be unlocked. I like steering music instruction toward performance, and enjoy playing duets.

I took private beginning ukulele lessons from Eric for two years - what a delightful experience. He is a wonderful musician and a very patient and effective teacher - besides being a great human being. It will be a tall order to replace him now that he has moved to the other coast.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Lesson rates are typically $25 for each hour-long session, though special circumstances can warrant a different rate. For group rates, I usually start with $25 and add $10 for each individual. Group lessons are great!

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I like to see what it is you're hoping to get out of your music lessons first. A student's end-goal is an important thing to have in mind before you get started with learning.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Bachelor's of Music: Composition, Georgia Southern University 2010 6 years of professional music leadership and 10 years as a private instructor. Currently pursuing a master's degree in Music Technology.
