Prudential Plumbing - Reached out to him at approx: 4:30PM and he was able to meet at my location by 6pm! Showed up on time and worked until the problem was resolved. Was constantly problem solving the issue the entire time and even offered a referral for a water damage company. Local and trustworthy!

Details: 1 toilet • Less than a week ago • Municipal water (most common) • Commercial

We had a small project and we received a reasonable quote. Prudential came and the project turned out to be vastly more difficult than either of us anticipated. He worked on it until completion and only billed on the initial quote. I can't praise the work ethic and competence enough.

Mark fixed the shut-off valve for my outdoor faucet in the front of the house and added a hose faucet on the other side of my back yard. He's a really a knowledgeable and polite man and gives you an estimate prior to starting the work. He explains what he's going to do and then shows up and does the work. What a novelty! His work is flawless and there are no surprises.

I just moved into a new house and lots of plumbing issues arose after 2 nights. Thanks to Mark all were resolved. He responded right away! He is punctual, professional, licensed, and meticulous. He explained the problem and treatment with accurate price quote. His work is extremely clean and thorough. It's apparent he takes pride for the work he does and his price reasonable. I am so happy to have found him. Thank you for your help Mark!

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Through experience I have found that customers overwhelmingly prefer a firm total price for their plumbing project or problem before the work has begun. Having a firm price releases customers from anxiety over the financial issues of their service, allowing them move on to the next action item on their list. I find it necessary to do a thorough inspection of the service at hand prior to pricing it, so that I can afford to stay in business and charge the customer a reasonable price at the same time. I would advise customers to avoid plumbing companies that quote pricing from a book to justify inflated charges.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have an A.A. Degree in Plumbing Construction Technologies, but I continue to study related technology and building trades that are peripheral to my own. To date I have completed supplemental coursework in Steam Plant Operations, Backflow Prevention Devices, Solar Thermal Systems, and Refrigeration/AC Fundamentals.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

It is highly prudent to use a State Licensed Contractor for any plumbing repair that is outside your comfort zone or may potentially consume more time than you have available. Substandard workmanship and materials, along with the absence of protections provided by the state’s licensing process, can turn the lower price you receive from a handyman into a much higher price in the end.
