- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For housecalls in New York City I charge $250 and $200 to see me in my office. In Massachusetts I charge $120 for housecalls and $85 and up to see me in my office depending on the service.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I explain what acupuncture can and cannot do, and a little about how it works in the body. I then ask if there are specific goals or complaints that brought them to me. I take a thorough medical history and answer any questions they might have. Before the treatment I explain what I am going to do a and what they might expect to feel.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I received my 4 year Masters of Science Degree in Oriental Medicine in San Francisco. A few weeks after graduating, my husband and I moved to Suzhou, China where I received extensive additional clinical Chinese Medicine training over 10 months in acupuncture, gynecology, dermatology and internal medicine. I then developed my own private practice in Shanghai where I worked for another 2 years. In 2011 I became certified to teach The Dragon's Way Stress and Weight Mgmt. program based on Chinese Medicine and the work of Dr. Nan Lu in New York City.
