Introduction: I'm Tracy - I would love to be your teacher, I have been teaching for 32 years and have taken students from beginners all the way to performers. It is my desire for each if my students to gain a love for music through the medium of piano. I am patient, experienced and encouraging- whether young or more seasoned in life I'll help you love and enjoy the piano - I'll teach you to read music fluently, develop a strong technique as well as a love for the piano. I will focus on your particular musical interest, whether that be classical, jazz, pop, rock, or church music. I bring a unique international experience to my private tuition - I was born in South Africa, married a Brit and lived in England for 10 years, then moved to Texas in 2007 and raised our 3 kids in McKinney. All are now in college , and I teach lessons from home and online. At present, my students are taking lessons online due to Covid, but I hope to return to in-person lessons ASAP. Tracy has taught all 4 of my children to play the piano. Beginning with my oldest who came to her after a disastrous experience with a different teacher. Tracy inspired my oldest to want to practice as she gained confidence and experience. My oldest 2 entered middle school with the music training they needed to be first chairs in their respective orchestra and band groups. I highly recommend Tracy for her patience, enthusiasm, musical expertise, and gift for working with children.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My private piano tuition costs are $30 per private tuition half hour lesson. Music Accompaniment - per client (average $50) (Books are an additional cost)
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I look at each student as an individual with their own particular personality, ability and music preference. I want to instill in each student a genuine love for music, making lessons fun and exciting, whilst teaching all the necessary skills needed to become a well-rounded, accomplished pianist.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelors degree in Music, BMus. as well as a Music Teacher's Licentiate from Trinity College of Music in London, England. I have been teaching private and group piano lessons for 26 years, as well as teaching Elementary School Music, leading choirs and church worship groups.
