- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $15 per 1/2 hour lesson, $30 for a full hour. I usually meet weekly with students, but sometimes students need to schedule lessons every other week because of busy school or work schedules.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I first like to meet with a potential student before committing to a weekly schedule of lessons. If a student has played before, then I want to hear some things they've worked on already. If a student has no experience, then I have a few exercises we do together that help me judge the student's readiness to begin studying piano. It's always a good idea to meet and be sure we mesh before making a musical commitment to each other.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I belong to the Rappahannock Music Society and other organizations that keep my teaching and musical skills current.
