So far I am very pleased with Thomas and his inspection, explanation of his plan and comments about what needs to be done. Predicated on all of the above, I am confident he will meet his commitment and my expectations of the work to be done. More posting upon completion of the work.
Thomas called me back on Monday morning (7/20/15) to confirm
a Tuesday (7/21/15) start and completion date. That was agreed to and Thomas and his partner, Adam, arrived on time and immediately went to work on the sill replacement tasks. Upon removal of the rotted door sill it became apparent that the damage was worst than anticipated and more extensive removal would be required. There was no request for a change order (for concealed construction conditions) and no extra cost. I asked if there was any addition expense on my part and was told by Thomas directly, "Absolutely not! We have an agreement and our word is good.
I was very impressed but not surprised. When a question arose concerning a decision about how to handle a particular item, I told Thomas to handle it as if he was doing the work from his parents. He said they always do their work that way. I truly believe he and Adam do that.
The work was done expertly, with excellent communication on
all aspects of the work. When they completed the work there was no need for a punch list. Thomas also inspected my 15 + old roof and pointed out some issues I was already partially aware of. I plan to hire them again for some other handy man tasks I need done around our property and most importantly I plan to have them replace my roof in the next few years as it is near the end of its' useful life.
This is a small company and Thomas and Adam are fair,
straight forward, hard working hands-on owners. They provided full value for my small scope of work and that is impressive! I enthusiastically endorse they work.
