Richard O. says, "I cannot say enough good things about working with Adrienne. She is very patient, knowledgeable, and supportive. I have worked with Adrienne for about 2.5 years on vocal technique and have enjoyed every moment. I had to take an extended break due to personal financial reasons, but I have every intention to start again once things become more stable. (^For those that like to read^) I feel like I was an unlikely/atypical student. I started taking lessons with Adrienne when I was 25/26 years old. I also did not have a background in music and knew nothing of proper vocal technique. The reason I decided to take lessons was because I wanted to be able to sing to my future wife on our wedding night. The challenge Adrienne faced was how do you get someone who's not young to be able to sing well and confidently. Not to be over confident, but I think she did a tremendous job. We did a lot of experimenting on different songs I learned to sing. I am a natural baritone, but together we explored head voice and how to sing high pitched. Now, it is not hard to sing songs from Amy Lee or Sam Smith. To further emphasize her patience, I also learned to sing Ave Maria and Con Te Partiro in Italian. I still do not know how to speak the language to this day, but I learned those two songs 🙂. If you are considering a vocal coach/teacher, I highly highly recommend going with Adrienne."See more

Traci B. says, "JJ has been an incredible voice instructor for our daughter. From the moment he walks through the door, it’s an hour of focused, intentional teaching. Every lesson begins with vocal warmups, and then they spend the rest of the time singing while JJ accompanies her on the piano. He sings alongside her, demonstrating techniques, helping her safely expand her range, strengthen her voice, and build confidence. What stands out just as much as his talent is his professionalism. JJ is always on time, communicates exceptionally well, and brings such a classy, encouraging presence to every lesson. He has a wonderful way of challenging his students while making them feel supported and capable. We’ve seen tremendous growth in our daughter’s voice, but even more importantly, we’ve watched her confidence blossom. If you’re looking for a knowledgeable, dependable, and gifted vocal coach, I cannot recommend JJ highly enough. We truly feel blessed to have him as part of our daughter’s musical journey!"See more

Jared S. says, "Growing up, I had very little exposure to making music. I had no idea how to read music, I had no sense of rhythm, and I had basically no idea what music theory was about. With that said, I had been plucking on the guitar for around 10 years and had been working on some pretty complex songs. The results are that I could play some cool stuff really poorly (I remember trying to play the theme from Pirates of the Caribbean and someone thinking I was playing Flamenco). Austin was able to meet me where I was at. He spent time walking me through music theory, how to use a metronome and what different rhythms should sound like. He also walked me through the sheet music of several pieces that I had wanted to play for quite some time. I slowly developed confidence in playing the pieces that I loved. We shifted our conversation from just playing the right notes to expression. I found I loved playing guitar even more when I had control over how the guitar was speaking. I got a taste of what is means to be a musician. Austin's expertise and approachability both shine through in his lessons. He was always very kind and patient. I never felt dumb, even when my understanding of a topic was remedial, and I could consistently feel Austin's enthusiasm when working with me. Studying with Austin is an easy recommendation for me to give!"See more
