- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Yes, I charge hourly with a minimum of 4 hours per session.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Organizing: First, we'll chat on the phone. I'll ask you a number of questions about your goals and what you would like to accomplish. Then, we will schedule your first on-site organizing session (typically 4-6 hours). Ideally, I'll work with you in your space to help you reclaim the things you need, and let go of items that are no longer serving you (de-clutter phase). I'll then create easy to use systems that support your new streamlined space (organization phase). Along the way, I'll offer suggestions and knowledge you’ll need to maintain your new balance (maintenance phase). I'll alert you a half hour before our session ends so you can decide if we need to start wrapping up or continue. When we've reached a stopping point, we'll put everything back into a more efficient order. We will remove all trash and I will take up to 2 bags to a donation center (and e-mail you the receipt for your tax purposes). We'll "check out" at that time, discuss ways that you can maintain your new space, and, if necessary, set up a next session.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a current member of NAPO (National Association of Professional Organizers). Before I became a Professional Organizer, I had a successful 14 year career in NYC as a luxury handbag designer (for many brands that you are probably familiar with!). I attribute most of my success to 3 qualities: 1) I'm incredibly organized, and I am willing and able to help organize others in a non-challenging manner. 2) I'm resourceful - I get things done. ;) 3) I'm creative - I believe there is always a better way to do something. All of these skills led me to becoming the Professional Organizer, personal concierge, personal assistant, and wardrobe consultant that I am today. I am non-judgmental and our work is completely confidential. I truly enjoy the work of helping others.
