Introduction: Welcome! I am a certified and registered (Yoga Alliance) yoga instructor (ERYT) & barre instructor. I cater to all levels of students with a goal to improve their well being - working around your unique level of fitness, flexibility, strength and weaknesses (including present and past injuries). Private classes are highly customized! I have extensive alignment and anatomy training as an advanced yoga teacher which means I can provide modified poses and exercises for your body type. I also incorporate some Pilates exercises into my classes for certain private clients who struggle with balance and are looking to build strength, improve core and their posture. Yoga is ideal for people who are suffering from pain caused from sitting at a desk for too many hours a day, with a bad posture (resulting in upper back pain, frozen/mouse shoulder, text neck, carpal tunnel syndrome and tennis elbow). I've seen a tremendous improvement in their pain relief from doing yoga! Many clients I have worked with also have lower back pain, pain from trauma or accidents, like a car accident. I have also worked with a client in a wheel chair, another on chemotherapy and some wanting to deal with work related stress. I teach corporate and private classes for events as well- like ladie's bachlorette's parties or retreats. Styles of yoga I teach range from beginner's foundations yoga, hatha, vinyasa, restorative, yin and power. About Me: I began my personal yoga practice 10 years ago, realizing it brought balance to my busy life and conditioned my body for other sports. I took my yoga teacher training at the Spirit of Yoga (Southwest Institute of healing Arts). I am currently undertaking my advanced yoga teacher training with a strong interest in Sadie Nardini's Core Strength Vinyasa. Advanced training I have taken includes prenatal yoga, chakra balancing, hands on assists and adjustments, sound therapy.

Maria was incredible! She was great at adjusting the class based on our skill level. She was so prepared and even had a tent to provide some shade. Would definitely recommend!!!

Private Yoga Instruction

Donna is an amazing instructor. Her ability to instruct her students to get into different positions either on their own or with the use of equipment, is educational. Overall it was a great experience.

My wife and I have been working with Donna for the past 6-months. Her private instruction has been excellent. She is always patient and ensures we are using the correct form in our poses. This helps build our fundamentals quickly. Her knowledge about multiple yoga styles allows her to adjust the sessions to our current needs. She really brings a lot to each sessionmaking them fun and challenging. It has been great working with her, and I would highly recommend her for private instruction or group events.

Donna was awesome! We booked a private yoga class with her for a Bachelorette party. She brought all equipment - mats, blocks, straps and even a cool towel for after class. Easy communication prior to the class, reasonably priced and awesome instruction - good for all levels. Loved it and would definitely recommend!

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Prices are based on time of day and location. I charge a little extra for evening and weekend classes. I give cash discounts and sometimes a discount for purchasing a 4 class pack. Cancellations: My schedule can get full and so I ask clients, if they need to cancel to do so as far in advance as possible so I can teach another class in their time slot. If a client cancels on me at the last minute about 3 times, I usually open up their time slot to other interested clients. I can only be in one place at a time and I can only teach about 10 classes a week. So my time is very precious! If we make an arrangement for me to come to your house for a session, and I drive out to you and you are not home / can't make the session, I still charge Full price - for my travel time and inconvenience .

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

First, I ask: 1.What are your cross streets? (I need to make sure the price I quoted will cover my costs to come out to you). 2. Then I need to know what days and times you are available for classes. In this way we can schedule a time that is available for both of us. 3. Based on our first class, we'll see if we are a good match for teacher, student. And we'll book a regular time slot for your sessions! These are the questions I'll ask you during your first session: - What is your yoga experience? - Do you have any pain or injuries? - What are your workout goals? (Usually this is specified in your request.) - How many days a week are you looking to train? - Do you have a yoga mat or do I need to bring one for you? ( I bring yoga blankets, blocks, straps, and some other props to classes.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

-I am Yoga Certified & Registered with Yoga Alliance (ERYT) -Advanced yoga studies include: Prenatal, Adjustments and Anatomy, Sound Healing, Chakra Balancing, Touch and Assist Adjustments and Modifications (using yoga props) -I am Barre Certified too - I also add Foam Rolling and Pilates exercises to my classes to attain certain goals.
