FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been working with wood and in cabinetry since 1998 when I took woodworking classes in high school. From there I went on to work at several large woodworking shops in Mesa and Gilbert and continued doing so while I finished college at Arizona State University. Then I began my career in banking and wealth management but continued working in my garage workshop until a couple years ago when I went back into full time!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
For nearly 15 years I was in finance working as an investment consultant and wealth manager. I would look forward to the weekend so I could work on various projects at my house and help friends with theirs. Eventually I decided to stop looking forward to the weekend and start looking forward to every day!
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Last month I was able to refinish the kitchen cabinets for a couple of clients who recently bought their first home. It was a very special project for me because they had so much in common with my wife and I when we bought our first home nearly 20 years ago. I finished the project in 3 days with new paint, soft close hinges and drawer slides.
