- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing for our services depends on what we do. Sometimes we can work on commissions from the suppliers hired, sometimes it is an hourly charge, sometimes it is a job charge, and sometimes we use a little of everything to stay on budget and make it work for the customer.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Meeting Professionals are required to participate in continuing education programs month to month, and renew certification every 5 years.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I found myself planning activities for groups of people when I traveled with my husband and there was nothing for the "wives" to do. When necessity demanded I work, I realized the need for someone to put functions together, I had no idea it was such a large industry.
