I take piano lessons with Lali, she is a great teacher. My piano skills have dramatically progressed for the better. She is the real deal!
Violin lessons. She is very patient and encouraging. I learn a lot in our short sessions. Highly recommended!
Quick and easy to coordinate piano lessons for my six year old.
My 7 year old daughter is loving her paino lessons and is learning so much this summer! We will be continuing lessons for the rest of the year. Highly recommend Blooming Cactus Music!!!
Rebecca is fun and excited about teaching the violin. Though I'm a complete beginner of the instrument, she instructs me with proper technique and is especially careful that I don't develop bad habits. She also makes the entire experience really fun.
Tim was great with my daughter and she learned a lot from him. I would recommend him to anyone wanting a great foundation for learning the violin. The concert he had for the kids at the holidays was fantastic and he is an amazing musician himself!! Thanks Tim-Alia and Lori
Kan Wang is an amazing musician and violin teacher. She has multiple approaches to teach violin playing, which makes the session really enjoyable and super efficient. In addition, she also pays great attention to her students and really helps them achieve their musical goals after they develop the basic skills. She also used to be a concert master of an orchestra and has extensive performing experience and skills. More importantly, you can just talk music with her any day any time and she is very informative and let you explore every beautiful aspect of the classical music!!! fantastic teacher and I am sooo lucky to be her students.
Dana is an effective and considerate teacher. She is teaching my 9 y/o daughter violin, and my daughter has absolutely loved it so far. She leaves class enthusiastic to practice and learn more, excited for the next week's class. Dana has incorporated teaching methods that work very well for someone my daughter's age: stickers, hide and seek, song at the tune of nursery rhymes to learn violin parts. Dana is clearly very passionate about music and has expressed her own excitement about my daughter's learning process and natural musical talents. Tip: She teaches out of ASU campus, which may seem intimidating for someone that knows how much of a nightmare driving and parking in that area can be; but the music building is on the outskirts of campus, and plenty of nearby loading zones make pickup and drop-off a cinch.
Nicole is simply phenomenal both as a violin teacher and as a person. She has been giving my 12 year old daughter violin lessons for a little over a year now, and I am very pleased with my daughters progress. What is heartening to see is that my daughter has progressed not only in her musical skills, but Nicole's approach to teaching seems to have helped my daughter evolve around her music as a person too! I am impressed as to how patient Nicole is with children, and how much more the extra mile she is ready to go for her students. She is a great role model for children. I highly recommend Nicole as a violin teacher. She is quite amazing!
Emmanuelle Scully is a very talented musician who is truly gifted in bringing the complexities of the violin into line with the developmental maturity of children. I have an eight-year-old and a five-year-old. Both have been taking violin with Mrs. Scully for one year. They started at ages four and seven. When we began our lessons, I assumed that she would give the exact same beginner lesson to each child. Though they were each starting at the same beginning point, she tailor fit the lesson to the developmental age of my four-year-old and gave a second lesson to my seven-year-old that was uniquely designed for his developmental age. As a professional in child development, I am Odd at her ability to instinctively know and target each child’s unique ability and stage of development. Mrs. Scully is definitely serious about the violin and teaching proper technique right away. However, she does this in a way that is fun and engaging to children. My children look forward to seeing Mrs. Scully. Mrs. Scully is passionate about teaching, even the youngest children, to read music. She does this in a very calculated and Step-by-step format. The forward momentum is so gradual that the children hardly realize they are incorporating the next step. Mrs. Scully has authored and illustrated her own violin book, targeted for young beginners. Her book is beautifully Illustrated, creative, unique, engaging, and very well thought out. My children love her book because it is beautiful and fun. I love her book because it takes the complex and pulls it back to the simple, then moves learners forward with gradual momentum. Mrs. Scully is a gifted teacher. She weaves her passion for music and proper technique with gentleness, kindness, enthusiasm, and creativity. We are 100% confident that you will adore Emmanuelle Scully, love the way she interacts with and respects your children, and appreciate her approach to teaching violin. She is the kind of teacher that makes you look forward to lessons. Not only will your children develop musical talent under her influence, but they will thrive and flourish in who they are growing into. I love her influence over my children and wish that more children could experience her.
More than just lessons.... My two boys (6y & 7y) have been going to Musical Surprise for music lessons for over 2 years. They love Ms. Robyn and wouldnt have it any other way. Ms. Robyn introduced them to different instruments, yet piano is the one that stuck. Ms. Robyn is teaching so patiently and loving. Her approach is creative and she is able to adjust to their different needs and interests. She knows what resources are out there and always tries to incorporate new things she comes across. It makes me proud seeing my little men reading music and being able to sit down and start playing. They have performance opportunities, which is such great exposure. I hope that my kids will never stop loving to play music, and with a teacher like this I dont see that they ever would.
We met Clint at the first fiddle camp he put on in Hurricane. We were very impressed with his teaching and knowledge and way with the kids. Our daughter was just about to give up on the Violin and he taught her a whole new thing..."fiddling"! She loved it and it gave her an new love for the instrument. She still plays after two more school years. She likes the things she plays in school but loves to fiddle! I have had children in various music lessons for many years. He is the most positive teacher that we have had. He teaches and reinforces in a way that helps build confidence and a desire to do better. He has never been critical nor scolded her even if she had it coming. After each lesson my daughter is more enthused to practice and put to use the things she has learned. She desires to do better each week because he helps her feel such great accomplishment each lesson.
Music is very important and I like to see people benefit
The majority of my students are under the age of 8 and come to me as complete beginners. Also, I teach the parent all of the basics on the instrument alongside the child (under the age of 12).
Music has been a big part of who I am for most of my life. I started playing violin at the age of 5, and since then have been involved in orchestras, ensembles, and have played professionally for weddings and events.
I am a youth instructor for youth lessons. I have been playing violin since age three and can teach to youth and teens. It is a comfortable setting working with a younger teacher, which allows for a great learning experience. Afternoon and evening sessions are available. I can meet at a public outdoor setting or give lessons in my home.
Quality instruction delivered to my students with care and attention to their specific needs and abilities.
I teach private piano and violin lessons from beginning to intermediate. I have played both instruments for 14 years and have been teaching them for 5 years. I am aiming to get my music education degree from MCC, then ASU. I encourage creativity and composing (writing songs) and can help with such. If you choose to bring more than one child at a time to lessons, I have an iPad where they can practice honing their music skills through music games as their sibling has their lesson. If need be, I can travel to you. I charge a $10 trip charge each time I drive out to you, not including the regular price at $50 a month. Altogether, it would be $90 a month for the travel option. I hold three recitals a year (March, October, and December), where students play violin and piano solos and duets.
Music is my life. Coming from many generations of musicians and music educators in Bohemia and Poland, I want to continue the family tradition of bringing joy to everyone's life through music and violin. I have been performing for various audiences since I was 6 years old, and playing for people always makes me happy. I want all my students to experience the joy of playing on the stage, and I always try to involve them in my various musical projects, concerts and recitals.
Hello, I have been playing viola for 10 years. I have been in quite a few orchestra programs from my high school orchestra where I was 1st chair to the Metropolitan Youth Symphony, and even to my churches symphonic orchestra. In my younger years, I took many private lessons myself; now I would like to offer great private lessons at a more competitive price. My qualifications are I have played violin and viola for 10 years, I am an Arizona All-State musician, and I have studied music and music theory in school for the last 4 years.
Alexandra Young's studio, located in Mesa, AZ, offers Suzuki violin lessons to students throughout the East Valley.
