I took guitar lessons from Glen for around four years, and I am thoroughly satisfied with what he has provided me. Glen’s style of teaching isn't out of the book or one dimensional what so ever. He incorporates what you need to learn, while letting you choose what you want to learn, allowing you to keep constant interest in learning the instrument. Glen also pushes the student to explore different musical realms, allowing their musical mind to grow beyond what it would usually gravitate towards. Besides his vast musical knowledge, he is a very approachable guy, very easy to talk to, and he has a great sense of humor, which for me was relieving and made the lessons even more fun. I couldn't imagine having had someone else guide me on my musical journey. Glen opened my mind and helped me look at things differently. He is a phenomenal teacher, and I am extremely happy that he was my instructor.

When I first called Glen to ask about lesson's I remember him telling me about "The Path" as he put it, where he goes beyond just giving instruction about how to play but helps a student understand how music is written and even be able to write your own music. The first thing that went through my mind was remembering as a kid all my friends paying guitar played cover tunes except one guy who wanted to write originals. I always thought the time it takes to get there is just more than I have right now but Glen's description sounded like he knew exactly how to make that happen. After just a few months in I've understood many times exactly what he meant. He's put together a teaching style that rolls all of his years of study into an easy to understand and follow approach to not just learning to play guitar but hear music in a different way. A way that I'm sure eventually I'll be able not only to play what I hear but make music that is solely mine. As they say, give a person a fish and they eat for a day, teach them to fish and....well, you know. I've told anyone who's asked me about my lessons the same thing. That they've exceeded what I was looking for from day one.
