We had several jobs around the house that needed addressed before putting our house on the market. The House Doctor handled all of them, including: RV gate installation Island mount hood vent in kitchen Electrical work Drywall repair Kitchen cabinet installation Tile installation I am very pleased with the quality and value of the work done, and glad I found one person to handle all of it rather than subcontract out to several different people. Very trustworthy and helpful. Went above and beyond when an issue came up (ie drove across town to pick up an oven I purchased on craigslist). Thank you John!

Absolutely amazing and thrilled with his work. He did everything, drywall, installing laminate, grinding concrete to level flooring, replacing recessed lights. On time, extremely professional, kept everything clean and very reasonable price! Recommend John for all your handyman needs!

Ben Lebron painted my exterior front door, a dining room cabinet, my linen closet doors and the interior walls of my home. I found his work to be generally excellent and his price fair. I was impressed with his attention to details and his professionalism. He showed up on time, stayed on task and completed the project earlier than promised. I would recommend his services to anyone seeking high quality projects delivered at reasonable costs.

Overall, Ben did a great job painting my kitchen cabinets. He was fairly priced, prompt with his time, and did a good job with the project. The only remark I'll make, is the amount of paint spots left to clean up on the floor, counters, and stove. Not a big deal in comparison to the work he did. I would hire again for another project.

Ben installed five ceiling fans, installed a programmable thermostat and installed a new cabinet above the washer and dryer. He did a great job and was his price was very reasonable. I highly recommend him.

Adrian painted my bathroom. He also painted the cabinet in there. He did a great job. I asked him to come back and change the color of the trim, he came and did it with no problems. He was always on time and worked with my schedule. Great guy! I already asked him about painting my master bedroom. He said just let him know and we will get that done.

Photo updates to follow First, I should say that for a big project like this, I would hire John again, bottom line. That is probably the most straightforward way to assess the renovation as a whole. We hear nightmare stories all the time about significant (and even minor) home renovations and, while we had our frustrations, we went through a big job with few significant complaints. Planning/cost: Initially discussing the project, John was extremely receptive to our budget needs: we had saved up a very specific amount of money, and needed to complete two big projects in order to make the house more appealing to future renters (as we plan to move to a home with my wife's parents for the foreseeable future). The house had only one bathroom, even though it was approximately 1600 square feet. We needed to fix that if any families were going to rent. John understood and very clearly explained where we would be able to save money, what he would charge us for his work, for materials he bought vs. materials we provided, the realistic areas we could go cheap and the areas we couldn't scrimp on. John's price was not just competitive, but frankly made the difference between us being able to have these two complete and dramatic projects vs. one that would have left us feeling wanting. However, it was the price along with the fact that his clients indicated he was flexible and budget sensitive through the whole project that made the decision for us. (We've certainly dealt with people who claim to be able to work with "x" budget, and then everything somehow inflates dramatically over time.) We had a laundry/utility room that was separated from the main house by a breezeway. John connected it to the main house with brick in the same style as the house. He converted the room to a full bath and laundry room with a large shower. Simultaneously, he opened up the bare backyard wall of the main house, installing larger windows and glass french doors. Quality of work/cleanliness: John completed a great deal of the work himself, using a subcontractor to perform most of the brick work and the drywall. The quality, functionality, and look of the work overall was simply fantastic. Day after day they meticulously cleaned up their work, leaving as little footprint as possible on our day to day lives throughout the process, which, frankly reduced the stress that I believe tends to naturally accumulate during such projects. Once we paint it I believe the new brick will be entirely indistinguishable from the old. The brick has extremely clean lines in the same pattern as the existing work, and the finishing work around the windows and doors is excellent. We did have a brief ordeal flushing out a clog that seemed to result from construction debris, but ultimately the plumbing is excellent. Similarly, the shower tile work ultimately is terrific, but we did have a problem with the layout due to an error that John corrected, and it looks wonderful. In the bathroom, he took what was basically a junk/laundry room and installed an elegantly laid out vanity, toilet, laundry hookups on one side, and a massive shower, and utility/cleanup sink on the other, with room to spare. He added a simple half-wall to divide the toilet from the washer/dryer that works perfectly to separate the space. The shower he created for us is enormous and beautiful. Every time we go in the room, we are impressed all over again. The whole room could have appeared like a necessary appendage stuck on to the rest of the house, but that large, bright tile shower makes the room look elegant. Flexibility: I hated to lose my very functional utility sink from that room and hadn't planned for a replacement; however, John helped by coming up with a clever solution to put a sealed brick sink in with the water heater closet. which works perfectly. It's a clean, and very functional solution that I constantly appreciate having, though it was certainly a significant adjustment for him. When we requested adjustments, it felt as though John quoted a bit high to accommodate time and materials (and his added stress). But all in all he was fair and up front about the work, his time, and our options. That being said, there were some frustrations: Our frustrations all come down to communication and documentation. I don't fault John for all of this - his talent lies in the work he does; had we been more on the ball, we would have been more clear and organized ourselves. We had any number of preliminary discussions with John, and agreed to three or four major things up front, that satisfied us the work could be done in a way that would meet all of our needs. But as the project began and progressed, numerous details were forgotten. Specifically, the layout of the utility room and the physical requirements for the french doors to be installed. John repeatedly asked how we wanted to accommodate something as if we had not already come to a conclusion on the matter and we would essentially have to re-figure it out. Specifically, he forgot the layout that best accommodated all of the elements I mentioned above, and he forgot that he would have to "float" the bathroom wall, requiring a different (pricier) toilet than originally planned. Additionally, when he went to start work on the french doors, he had to take extra time to order a lintel that would span the entire length rather than two separate lintels - but, of course these were dimensions he'd known since originally planning the project. Things like this ultimately got worked out to our satisfaction, with one frustrating exception, but if either of us had documented what we'd agreed upon, it would have saved a great deal of hassle and debate, as my wife and I had to re-discuss everything ourselves as well, which reinforced John's feeling that we'd never come to a final agreement to begin with. Time/documentation: While we believe John was more than fair in his billing, the lack of clear, consistent documented days/hours prevented us from having a clear, concrete idea where we stood financially during the project. This impacted us when, in a couple of instances, we did ask for changes (such as installing the utility sink) and he quoted us for the change, though we had no idea whether we were in the high or low end of the overall planned project. All of this is to say: John worked it all out, and he did so in a way that was affordable, excellent, excellent, quality, beautiful work. But, in order to avoid frustration, agreements as to planning should be documented and ongoing days/hours worked should be documented. This would help avoid revisiting complicated plans and would allow for adjustments without having to be in the dark about the bottom line. Day in, day out, we are grateful for the work John did, and that it didn't eat us alive financially, because he did come in right in line with the budget. We love looking through our fantastic glass doors every morning. We have guests stay with us for a day or two, and love having a beautiful distinct bathroom they can use when they stay with us. We love knowing they won't feel they're entering into some dark corner of the house tacked on because it had to be, but that there's a beautiful bath with plenty of space that they can make themselves feel at home in.

We had drawers that we needed sanded in prep for staining. The drawers came back very clean and ready to go! I was expecting a baby soon and wanted them done before she was born, so John had to deal with an antsy pregnant woman, but he was very nice about it. We had everything done on time and are very happy! Thanks!

Chris was a guy who worked for our cabinet refinishing job. The whole house was in dirt after he finishes his job done and person who cleaned my kitchen sink made some cratches on my sink which are literally visible so bad. Overall quality of work was so bad as stain/color started coming out in just a week time after job done. After informing pro about these things,he didn't even responded to any of our messages after full payment made by us. This is the worst experience we ever had from a "licensed" professional.

I thought Affordable Cabinet Refinishing was great! Gino and Luis did a great job, were very professional and trustworthy. Only took them two days for my kitchen and two bathrooms. They were very good about taking time for masking off the area and venting any dust or fumes out of the house and cleaning up after. I would highly recommend these guys to any of my family or friends.

Magnificent! C&D Painting refinished our tired, 20 year old kitchen cabinets and transformed our kitchen into a modern, vibrant masterpiece. We selected C&D initially because we were so impressed with Tom Griffin's professionalism, and he and his crew did not disappoint. They were punctual, professional, tidy, and personable, and the result they delivered is truly stunning. High quality work at a very competitive price. I cannot recommend C&D Painting highly enough! Hire them. Right now. No really. Right now.

Excellent work. My cabinets in kitchen were painted white and look beautiful. The island was painted dark brown to contrast with the white cabinets. They put up white subway tile for the backsplash. We had another company do the granite. They repaired the walls and ceilings and painted most of the house. All was done neatly and professionally. We were very pleased with all the repairs and remodeling done by C and D painting.

Ernie was great to work with from beginning to end. He clearly communicated his prices, availability, times to show up/leave and what was to be expected. He provided a quality product at a great price and was punctual as well. We hired him not only for door installation, but tile installation too when we saw the quality of his work. We would hire him again for any needed work!

From the first phone call to Michael, of Peterson Millworks and Design, I was impressed. He was quick to respond, and met me at my home to discuss an office design post haste. I could tell Michael was a professional, as he knew exactly what I needed and was able to quickly assess a design concept. A few days later he sent me a 3-D design concept which was fabulous! A bit of tweaking on the design, and the deal was sealed. I also had other bids, and found him to be reasonable, but more than that, he provided a professional and beautiful design concept, and his customer service skills were exceptional. Well, having been impressed with the initial consultation and design, the results ended up beyond my expectations! Michael is a perfectionist, and it shows in his work. To impress me is not a small task, as I am also a perfectionist! He uses quality materials, and his fine workmanship was outstanding. The gray finish turned out to perfection. The install was seamless, and the results are stunning! This was a very large and detailed project, as it entailed several file cabinets, drawers, shelving to ten-foot-high ceilings, crown molding, and two desk areas. My husband, who rarely expresses much when it comes to design was surprisingly vocal about how beautiful our office is! I would not hesitate to recommend Peterson Millworks for any cabinet project you have.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND - HE DOES NOT HONOR HIS WORK GUARANTY. Initially he was very responsive. The work was completed in February 2017. By early May some of the cabinet doors were no longer flush with the cabinet frame, some have gaps between them and some do not line up. Despite numerous requests since May, not only has he not honored his warranty he does not return my calls or emails.

Michael did a beautiful job on our office cabinets. He matched our kitchen cabinets and made tweaks where needed bc our ceiling was not quit level. He also installed the lighting and fixed about 5 other doors/drawers in our kitchen that needed adjusting. I wish we would have found him years ago when we remodeled our kitchen!

We have a rental property that was outdated. We hired Chromatic Coatings to restain the kitchen cabinets and do a countertop stone coating. Ardi gave us a discounted price which we appreciated, but even better we were able to rent our unit for extra money each month. Since then we have recommended him to friends as well who are very happy with the work that chromatic coatings has done for them. Highly recommend this company!

We had Orange Dragon refinish all our kitchen cabinets, doors and drawers; cabinets including drawers and doors in three bathrooms; two office cabinets and our front door. The workmanship was superb. I never liked the cabinets when they were new. We had them redone by someone else and we were not happy. Now they look terrific and very updated. We could not be happier. Not only is their work beyond reproach, they are great to work with, very trustworthy, prompt, and keep the work place very clean. We thought their prices were extremely fair. Ask Orange Dragon for pictures of the work they did in our home. We are very proud of it.

Adam Smith of Orange Dragon Designs, recently transformed my kitchen with a counter top cement finish and refinished my cabinets in a coordinating color. I found Adam to be professional, friendly, creative, and answers calls/texts in a very timely fashion. I have also seen other jobs he has completed, all of which turned out beautifully. A contractor friend of mine felt Adam did an impressive job on my kitchen. I would highly recommend him. Dee M.

I would highly recommend him to anyone.
