Kiran has been my children’s tutor in 2nd grade Math for a month now. He is amazing. He takes his job of teaching very seriously. Kiran first tries to figure out how both of my children learn and then applies techniques specific to them. Additionally, he has inspired them to want to learn more about science as well. You cannot go wrong with hiring Kiran!! - Lauren in Chandler
Abhijit has been outstanding. He is tutoring my 10th grade son in Honors Algebra 3-4. When we started my son was struggling with understanding the principles and had C's & D's on all of his Algebra tests this year. We saw immediate improvement after the first week. My son has scored A's on all tests since starting with Abhijit. He is always professional, patient and my son has a new found confidence about his math class.
Barry is awesome. He's helped her with the basics and even has her practicing math facts daily on an app!
Amy has been a wonderful pre-Algebra tutor for our 8th grade daughter. She is very friendly and knowledgeable and is able to sit down with our daughter and patiently go over homework. She comes for an hour two times a week. Within a matter of weeks of hiring her, our daughter's grade went from a D to B! We owe a lot of this improvement to Amy. I highly recommend her!
Christopher is a miracle worker. I hired him at close to the last minute to help my daughter prepare for the SSAT test, which was a last minute thing and left her only 2 weeks to prepare. I was concerned because she'd just come out of a gifted math class but was very confused and I was helpless in this new era of common core. In addition to an incredible manner with her, he prepared and gave her the confidence she needed to get 98-99th percentiles on the test. He was happy to go over any subject. Now that she's in a private middle school, we keep seeing Christopher once a week so she always has a helpful and supportive ear for the things mom and dad are useless at. Thanks so much Christopher!
I am an instructor of biology at the university and college levels. I teach BIO107 (Introduction to Biotechnology), BIO160 (Introduction to Human Anatomy and Physiology), BIO202 (Human Anatomy and Physiology II), BIO354 (Cell Biology Laboratory), BIO188 (General Biology for Biology Majors II), BIO181 (General Biology for Biology Majors), BIO201 (Human Anatomy and Physiology I), LSC348 (Fundamentals of Genetics Laboratory), BIO360 (Animal Physiology), and LSC365 (The Human Organism). I also tutor students in chemistry, mathematics, physics, biology, and logic. I hold four degrees (a Ph.D. in biology, with an emphasis in physiology, a B.A. in photography, a B.S. in mathematics, and a B.S. in zoology). I love teaching, and I love learning. I'm interested in getting my students to understand, not just to get by. If we meet at Phoenix College (Thomas and 11th Avenue), my personal tutoring rate is $20 per hour. I can travel also to you for a rate of $25 per hour and eighty cents per minute of one-way travel from Phoenix College. Please visit the website for more information!
I am a recent high school graduate, and I will be attending an Ivy League University in the fall. I went to a boarding school called Phillips Academy in Andover, MA for high school. I scored 34 on the ACT and worked as a tutor in science and math during my senior year. I am willing to tutor in most subjects, and I can also drive and babysit. I am extremely reliable, and I will help your child improve grades or test scores. I will be in town starting June 9th, 2015.
