Introduction: Hello, I humbly introduce myself. I am Dr. Oscar Morales. The owner and founder of The Place Called OM. I am an Arizona native. I grew up in the small town of Douglas by the Southeastern Arizona Border and Mexico. I resided in the Phoenix area in 2013 after conferring my Bachelor of Science in Biology from Northern Arizona University. In 2014, I began my Medical School journey at Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine (SCNM). After attending my third year of naturopathic medical school, I found my desire in Oriental Medicine. I decided to transfer to Traditional Chinese Medicine at the Phoenix Institute of Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture (PIHMA). I conferred a Doctorate in Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine and a Masters in Oriental Medicine. In between all my medical school courses, I studied various energetic, physical, and mind-body modalities to help a person's overall health and balance. We are a proud veteran-owned and operating company. I joined the United States Army in 1997 after graduating from high school. In 2003, I served fourteen months in Iraq in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. I volunteered to become a Combat Life Saver and underwent Army medical training. During our deployment, I experienced many circumstances requiring medical knowledge and found my true calling in the medical field. Now, I have completed twenty years of military service in the United States Army. As a Doctor of Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine, I firmly believe in balance. As a Certified Mind-Body professional, I focus on reactivating the vital force from within, balancing the mind and body to facilitate movement and healing, and unencumbered the spirit towards better life management.
