They lost 2 parts to very expensive equipment. They put the equipment back together wrong 3 x's. They just seemed very inexperienced. I should've used a previous moving company. They were friendly and maybe this move was just too much for them.Feb 11, 2017VerifiedDarryn R.'s reply
Wrong! Your review is off base, Dawn. Because, we spoke at length about your pilates tables and whether we would be the ones disassembling and reassembling them or you would be doing that so you could save money. You eventually came to the decision that you would be the one doing it, TO SAVE MONEY. I said fine, however, I told you whenever someone takes whatever types of equipment apart and then expects us to put it back together, there can be issues because we didn't take it apart to begin with. That's common sense. We obviously don't have the knowledge of how everything goes back together that the person taking it apart does and don't know where hardware is or if it's missing. This seems to be the case in your move. You took everything apart to save time thus money but then expected us to reassemble it in a timely manner as if we took if apart (yelling at my guys - btw). Then if parts were actually missing you blamed it on us, which was not true because the guys actually eventually got it back together to your satisfaction. We actually spent nearly 2 hours additional time on your job that we didn't get paid for. The guys did everything in their power to get the job finished which they did however 2 hours late because you wanted to disassemble equipment then not reassemble it against our agreement. On your move we didn't lack experience and I assure you the move wasn't too much for us. It was your dishonesty when setting up the job that caused the issue. My head guy has been with me for 12 years and the others for over 3 each and are highly experienced top end movers! That said, Dawn, after all the extra effort and extra time put in at your job, which you never paid for, this is how you reward us with a lousy review!
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Moving jobs are not standard, every job is different and has it's own unique needs. So, we typically give a unique flat rate quote custom fit to each job so each customer gets the most cost effective price quote possible! However, in some situations an hourly rate is more appropriate so that's what we will go with.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?The customer contacts us, we ask a series of questions to determine the time it will take out of our day to complete the move and based on that we typically give a flat rate quote. If the quote is acceptable we schedule the move. You relax and we do all the work. Simple!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?18 years experience moving everything under the sun!
