Joe Martin is amazing. His knowledge of music and what keeps people dancing is truly impressive. I was MOH at my friends wedding (March 2013) and helped her choose the DJ, when meeting Joe we were impressed with is professionalism and experience. We asked for some obscure songs in advance (1940s swing, and a few youtube artisits) and on the the wedding day he had them! and the correct versions too! His communciations prior to the event were timely and comprehensive, he ensured we knew exactly what to expect. We even had a few last minute changes on the day of and he was open to adjustment and pulled it off beautifully. At no point was he hurried or anxious, in fact his calm was calming to the rest of us. He also serves as master of ceremeonies as a part of his DJ duties and kept the evenings activities flowing perfectly. I reccomend Joe very much. He shows up with all the correct equipment (including a laser light show!) and dressed in a tux! He will truly make your event wonderful.

Carlyn saved me....I had 6 weeks to plan a wedding. I had the venue, my home but nothing else and very little time as we chose a Dec 31 date and figured it would be impossible to find a caterer and a band. I found Thumbtack when googling wedding planners so I went for it and Carlyn's name up and I contacted her. She responded immediately which was reassuring in itself and we made plans to meet. Carlyn was warm and kind and very prepared at that first meeting. She had lined up a caterer and a band for my approval and we hit the ground running with flowers and place settings. We had similar ideas of how we envisioned the wedding. Everything just clicked. The whole experience was wonderful. I knew it was going to be a fabulous wedding. Lexi did a wonderful job on my hair and makeup trial. It was really convenient that she was able to travel to my home. The curl on my hair turned out beautiful! Everyone always says to prepare yourself for something unexpected to go wrong on your wedding day. Because of Kristi everything was more than perfect! If anything did go wrong I was completely unaware. Kristi took care of EVERYTHING! She went above and beyond throughout my whole planning process, even on my wedding day brought extra decorations from her house to the venue when we found out we had a more room to fill! Gina is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!! I cannot begin to describe how thankful we are for all of her help and hard work! Hiring Gina is the best decision you’ll make for planning your big day! Gina was our coordinator, officiant and designed the candy table! She really can do it all. I highly recommend hiring your own coordinator, even if the resort provides one.     Pearl made our wedding experience go so smoothly! From day one, she mapped out her plan to contact all the vendors and making sure that they were all on the same page.     The BEST decision I made for my wedding was hiring Tammie of Desert Vines Events as my wedding planner/coordinator. I'll be honest, I consider myself a pretty organized person who enjoys researching/planning, but no amount of research can replace the years of experience from a veteran wedding planner like Tammie. Tammie was absolutely professional, amazing, and so worth having! I told her what I like, my priorities and she made it happened! She was always quick to respond and when she gave herself a deadline, she always achieved it. What I also love the most about having a planner I didn't have to go insane trying to answer all the uncertain questions. Yes, it was PERFECT!     Adetoun is the best thing that happened to me during my wedding planning process. I hired her to do my decoration and she was exceptional. We bonded from our first meeting and she was one stop shop as she planned everything. She is very professional and keeps to her words. She did everything she said she was gonna do and even more. when the doors opened for the guess to walk into the reception venue, their face lit up because they felt like they were in Cinderella's ballroom. Everything looked so amazing. I couldn't be happier that i chosed her and i thank God for leading me to her. She made me have my dream wedding.     I'd recommend Nicki and Events to Remember to anyone looking for a wedding planner and day of help. If you'r on the fence about the investment, take it from me, it's soooo worth it! Throughout the whole process, Nicki helped guide us through the decision making and next steps. She gave us ideas while keeping everything true to our vision. And the day of help was critical.     I hired Aioli to cater my wedding and could not have been happier. The food was amazing, the selection was incredible and the staff was an absolute delight.     The main thing Cassidy Evans gave us was complete peace of mind and confidence that everything was under control before and throughout the day of our wedding. Although we only hired her to do minimal preplanning and focus on day of coordination, she always returned all calls quickly at all hours, answered our questions, gave us recommendations and ideas to help us feel secure in planning our own wedding. On the day of the wedding, she seemed to be everywhere quietly resolving all issues, answering questions, coordinating all activities and paying attention to the details that made our wedding special. It was so obvious to us that she really did have a lot of experience in the industry, knew many people, and had a wide variety of ideas for us to choose from.       Carlie was a gem from the start of the wedding planning process. As a fellow vendor she made it easy to work together to create a positive experience for the bride and groom. She was wonderfully organized throughout wedding preparation, eager to make sure we had our needs clarified with the venue ahead of time, and checked in throughout the on-site installation to make sure everything was running smoothly.         PASTOR SHON PERFORMED AN INCREDIBLE CEREMONY IN OUR BACKYARD! I highly recommend him for your special day. He provided a very professional contract, gave us several options of ceremony styles & several choices of vows to choose from. When he arrived for the rehearsal, we joked about using him as the ceremony "director" because we had no idea how to be smooth about the order in which to do things.             What does a wedding event coordinator do?

            What is a wedding planner?

            A wedding planner is a professional service provider whose job it is to organize and execute all the details of a couple’s wedding. A wedding planner can be contracted at any stage in the wedding planning process to help to any degree the couple is willing to pay for. Wedding planning is similar to event planning in that a planning team handles the coordination of multiple wedding elements including catering, venue, guests, entertainment, decor, transportation and more. Anyone who has ever been involved in a wedding can confirm that wedding planning is hard work. Experience brings wisdom when it comes to avoiding or resolving day-of challenges. There is no legal regulatory body that oversees or certifies wedding planning as an industry. Anyone who chooses can call themselves a wedding planner. When looking for a wedding planner, be sure to read reviews, and make smart hiring decisions by asking about licenses and insurance.

            How much do day-of wedding coordinators cost?

            A day-of wedding coordinator makes sure that every detail of your wedding day goes off without a hitch, and deals quickly and quietly with any last-minute emergencies. For many brides, the day-of wedding coordinator is their best investment! The average national cost for a wedding coordinator is $800 to $1,000. Although full-service wedding coordinators often charge a percentage of the total wedding budget, most day-of coordinators charge a flat fee plus an additional hourly fee if the day runs long. For example, a 15-hour day-of coordination costs an average of $600, plus an additional $45 per hour if the coordinator works more than the planned 15 hours. Another option is to hire a coordinator to manage the last-minute details leading up to the event; for example, 25 hours of month-of coordination costs an average of $1,200. Several factors affect the cost of day-of coordination, including the region, the planner’s experience, and the specifics of the wedding. If the ceremony and reception are in two different locations, expect to pay more than if they’re in the same place. Also, extra details, such as managing food trucks or setting up snacks in addition to the meal, will increase the cost.

            What should you ask a wedding coordinator?

            When you hire a wedding coordinator, you want to make sure he or she gets you and can execute perfectly your vision of your dream wedding. To find the very best fit, it’s important to ask these five questions:

            • Are you available on my wedding date? If the coordinator isn’t available on your big day, there’s no reason to continue the interview — unless you’re willing to shift your date to accommodate their schedule.
            • What’s average cost of most of your weddings? If the coordinator’s usual wedding is outside your range, they might not be the right coordinator for you. Ask whether the coordinator requires a minimum wedding budget. In general, the wedding coordinator’s fee should be about 15 percent of your budget.
            • What is your speciality? Some coordinators specialize in day-of coordination, some create the overall vision, and others act as a producer. Make sure your wedding coordinator provides the type of services that will most help you create the event you have in mind, such as selecting vendors and handling their contracts, or managing the guest list and invitations.
            • What are your ideas for fulfilling our wedding vision? After you describe your dream wedding — rustic or sophisticated, traditional or funky — the wedding coordinator should be able to suggest appropriate venues, menus, decorations, etc..

            Do you have a portfolio? Ask to see photos of their favorite weddings, especially if they’ve managed any that are similar to what you have in mind. This will help you see if you like their style and if their ideas seem fresh and creative.

            Do I need a wedding day coordinator?

            Even if you’ve handled every detail of planning your wedding, you might appreciate having a day-of wedding coordinator in your corner. Usually, the coordinator meets with you a few weeks before your wedding to put together a detailed timeline of everything that needs to happen on your wedding day. Then, on the big day, the coordinator makes sure everything goes according to plan — and handles any emergencies that pop up, such as party crashers, missing tuxedos, late vendors, disappearing bridal party members and more. Most wedding coordinators also handle:

            • Distributing the wedding day timeline to all of your vendors.
            • Coordinating all of your vendors, including the photographer, florist and baker.
            • Conducting the wedding rehearsal.
            • Helping the bride and her wedding party get dressed and take photos.   
            • Checking floor plans, lighting levels, cake placement, menus, favors and more.
            • Collecting the wedding gifts and keeping personal items safe and accounted for.
