Not sure if it was just miscommunication, but we booked them because of the great reviews we saw on Thumbtack and unfortunately they did not deliver. In fact, I would go as far as to say this has been the. worst. cleaner. I have ever hired. Let's first talk about what I asked for - in the Thumbtack form, I indicated standard cleaning as that's where I thought I fell in the Thumbtack description. In my description, however, I mentioned we just had our place remodeled with new flooring, paint, etc. I asked specifically for certain items to be cleaned. I did not specifically point out the floor to be cleaned, although I feel like that is ALWAYS included for any basic cleaning service. My request also mentioned to clean "various furniture pieces that appear dirty" but I did not specifically point out the dresser drawers needed cleaning. So then let's talk about how I found the place after the cleaning job. If you couldn't tell from above already, the floors were not cleaned nor were the dresser drawers. The windows were cleaned (as per request) but not the windowsill. They responded saying I requested standard cleaning but post-construction cleaning is charged differently and that's not what I paid for. Okay, but if I clearly described it in my job, why not at least mention that in my initial quote? I asked them to confirm my quote, because yes, they seemed low compared to other quotes I got (because EVERYONE ELSE told me they needed to charge more for the work I was asking for). Smart Move Cleaning Services confirmed their quote and with such good positive reviews, I booked them. I will say they did come back out, after asking for a $30 extra trip charge. They did fix everything on the second trip and I was happy with that. I will say the dresser drawers were really sparkling clean. So needless to say, I really don't understand the positive reviews, but I will not be hiring them again. I know most cleaners are not the most thorough. My main gripe is floors, at the very least, should be cleaned. Regardless of if the second trip solved the issues, I should not need to be asking for floors to be clean.

Stephanie and her team were fantastic! I have been dealing with different service companies from contractors to cleaning companies and I can’t tell you how important communication, punctuality and professionalism are. Smart Move Cleaning checked all boxes and more! They left my new home clean and smelling wonderful, purging the old owners’ smells and doing a great job getting a ton of construction dust out as well.
