FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
A massage therapist is required to take a certain amount of continuing education units to renew their license. This is great because it challenges us to take different classes that can add flavor to our practice or bone up on skills we already have and add a new dimension. I also have an extensive library of reference materials that I use to fine tune my skills.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
My practice is divided into 3 different categories: PAIN MANAGEMENT for: clients who need relief from work related stress and tension clients recovering from injuries or dealing with tight tissues due to past injuries clients experiencing muscle spasms RELAXATION This is for the client who needs massage therapy to help reduce stress and stress related problems. DETOXIFICATION I offer lymphatic massage for clients who need a boost to their immune system or those recovering from plastic surgery.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Do some preliminary research on the benefits of massage and know what you want to accomplish from your sessions.Make sure you feel comfortable with the therapist. Be sure to give feed back during the massage, for instance, is the pressure okay for you. Also, remember, if you are seeing a massage therapist for a particular reason they can't fix you in one session. So give them a chance to help you. It takes the body a while to heal and balance itself.
