After years of trying to talk myself into going to a gym regularly, I knew the only thing that would get me there is to have the accountability of a trainer. Matt's reviews online from his clients are what made me contact him. And now I understand why.... Working with Strive Fitness is unlike anything you would "expect" personal training would be like.....In the best ways possible. Not only have I been shocked in what my body can transform into, or develop strength I never knew I had, I had no idea the "gym atmosphere" could be so enjoyable! Matt is kind, encouraging, so down to earth and very personable. He truly invests in his clients and cares about them. Not only their personal health goals, but about their lives. He is always available for questions, be it fitness, strength, food etc. He doesn't just give you an hour for the time he's paid, his clients know he's there for them anytime. That is what sets Matt and his business apart from others. Strive Fitness of course is amazing at what they do - they are skilled and educated in this business. I have been to other Personal Trainer's before. I have gone to enough to get a general idea of what to expect. Before meeting Matt, and visiting Underground Fitness I was completely expecting the "car salesman" pitch. I expected to walk into the gym during my first free session and workout for maybe 35-40 minutes then be taken to a big old desk and sold a pile of packages I could not afford. My expectations were shattered, and Underground Fitness broke the Personal Training stereotype for many reasons. First, I explained to Matt my personal goals (shed the fat, tone, and look good for my wedding that was 6 weeks away). Matt listened and was excited to take on the challenge. Second, Underground Fitness offers two free sessions which includes a nutrition plan breakdown. And can we talk about the nutrition plan? Without revealing their secrets it is COMPLETELY attainable and you do not have to buy special meals or starve yourself. Third, Matt Hoodie, the owner, is a walking success story. Matt has been where most of us have been and currently are. He lost a mountain of weight and has shaped his body to what most of us believe to be ideal. His education in Dietetics and Exercise Science offers much more than meets to eye because he can explain his motives behind certain things and teach us what we are doing wrong. Overall, I will never go anywhere else for my personal training needs. I still have a long road ahead of me, however for the first time ever after meeting a trainer I felt like my goals were achievable in within reasonable reach.
Carolyn is an awesome trainer. Not only will she push you to meet your personal goals in the gym, but she will also guide you with your goals in the kitchen. Carolyn helped me become more motivated and passionate about working out and helped me find the exercises that I enjoyed most. Her technique for personal training and group training is one that I enjoy and would highly recommend her to friends and family.
The talent and commitment of Brian and Andrea O'Neil far exceed Personal Training expectations. Workouts are planned in detail to accommodate the physical needs of their clients and any limitations they may have. They work with those limits, keeping their clients safe and making sure they reach their fitness and life goals. They changed my life and I have witnessed the lives of many be bettered by these two top-notch trainers!
I went into Raymond at Inner Power Hypnotherapy out of pure desperation and in a last ditch effort because everything else had failed. I was in an unhealthy marriage, I had gained ALOT of weight, had developed low self esteem, suffered sever pain from fibromyalgia and had lost myself and who I was because of all these thing. I went to the first visit just wanting to lose some weight to look better for my husband and not hurt so much. Well let me tell you I may have went thinking I knew what I wanted but I left with what I needed. I left feeling so empowered!. (He even helped me address and let go of some issued I had been carrying around since I was little that had been effecting me my whole life) I have taken control of my life back and am starting to find me again. 6 months ago I could not even walk 400 steps a day the pain was so severe from the fibromyalgia and today I am pain free. Before seeing Ray if you had asked me what I like to do I would have just stared at you and said "I don't know" because I had lost me and I really didn't know. Today I can name you half a dozen thing I have discovered I love to do. Ray is not just a wonderful hypnotherapist you can trust but a great therapist, confidant, life coach and mentor. Susan was wonderful! She made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. She made my Reiki experience very unique and took the time to walk me through it. She has a wonderful energy and an excellent professional demeanor. She came highly recommended, and they weren't wrong!
I have done group training and personal training with Nick. He is one of the most knowledgeable trainers I have ever worked which gives him the tools to make a plan that is geared toward each clients personal goals. I would recommend Nick and After It Training to anyone.
Jessica is a very committed trainer, she follows your progress closely and adjusts the program accordingly. She is very knowledgeable in kinesiology - movement and flexibility and she helped me make great strides in my general fitness and endurance. She also helps with guidance for workouts those days when she is not coming, so I can improve my independence in my own training. An excellent trainer and a great person!
I don't know how she does it, but Dolores from Club FItspiration gets you working harder than you ever thought you could and then you end up asking her for more! She is an exceptional trainer who is also a foodie nutritionist. So knowledgeable. I owe her my life. Literally. I lost 58 pounds in 5 months with her inspirational coaching, my high blood pressure is normal and I just ran my first half marathon. Now she's getting me ready for my first marathon in January. I really can't say enough about Dolores and her wealth of knowledge and motivation. I'm a fan for life!
I really felt Wendy cared about me. I still can't believe I was able to be hypnotized. I am grateful for the time she spent with me, and for her suggestions. She definitely provided more than hypnotherapy; there was life coaching in there, too. All of it was very helpful. I have already put some of what she mentioned to good and use. :-) I am looking forward to our next session.
I have taken both encaustic and oil painting classes from Bela Fidel. Her expertise in both areas was and continues to be of extreme value in my personal growth in art. Along with technique, Bela has helped me to loosen up, get out of my own way and find imagination and depth in my work. Bela's work has qualities that I have strived for and because of her guidance and example I feel much closer to my goal. I highly recommend Bela Fidel as an artist and instructor as well as her classes/instruction.

Working with Gage has truly been an experience I've treasured. Physically I've taken my body to levels I've never been before. My strength has increased dramatically, my form has drastically improved, I've received the greatest massage of my life, and my body movements are far more structurally optimal. She will push you to your limit but never further, ensuring you get the most of your workout without risking injury, and covers all bases for improving your health. Patrick Thomas has been my Personal Trainer for 2+ years. Patrick took me from post-physical therapy for cervical radiculopathy to a fitness level I now feel comfortable with. Patrick is highly skilled. He's the perfect combination of Tough and Warm. Pushing you to your max. Patrick works with all levels of clients and has the ability to work with "the whole person". I never enjoyed working out until I started training with Courtney. What sets her apart is her ability to really listen to her clients and what they are looking for in a workout. She listens to you, what your goals are, and works with you to develop a challenging workout of exercises you enjoy doing while achieving your fitness goals. One aspect of personal training that I always experienced was getting bored with the workouts. However, Courtney does not shy away from trying new exercises and brings her own wealth of knowledge and new ideas about the latest trends or workouts. Courtney is tough and there is no doubt about that but if you're looking to walk away from your training session feeling like a warrior or glowing goddess, she is the trainer for you.
Pam definitely has a talent when it comes to hypnotherapy and Life coaching. It’s almost as if she already knows the answer before you say it. Her intuitiveness is outstanding. Top notch to say the least. I will definitely be back for more sessions.
Heather was and IS fabulous to work with. She is a wealth of knowledge and I can only say, I do so enjoy being the sponge. Her education in the field is truly admirable, and I learned so much from her for a fraction of the cost from attending the institute where she studied. Along my health journey, Heather introduced me to holistic healthcare and taught me how important eating good, clean, and whole foods really is. Food, good nutrients, and vitamins can be our medicine. When I first started working with Heather, I had developed multiple chemical sensitivity and allergic to nearly everything, all from having stopped taking HRT pharmaceutical drugs abruptly due to outrageous price increases overnight. Having been on the HRT for many years and then stopping it cold turkey, nearly killed me (literally)! My body went into shock and my entire immune system was compromised.
