About
My services stand out because I teach my clients how to understand their bodies, eat with purpose and structure their workout plans so that one day they won't need a trainer to fulfill their basic needs. I enjoy watching my clients progress and improve. As a trainer, I get to watch as exercises become easier to perform, athleticism improves, muscles develop, and measurements drop. I got the best seat for the show!

Let's be honest - the personal training industry is rife with charlatans. For anyone who is looking for a truly knowledgeable, friendly, professional and intelligent personal trainer - look no further than Ryan Dennard. I messaged Ryan expressing my fitness goals and what I hope to achieve at the end of my training journey with him. He had me hooked within the first 10 minutes of our first session. The workouts are always challenging and fun at the same time. He plans something different every time and I can feel the results almost immediately, mentally and physically. Another plus is he's flexible and works with your schedule AND he's efficient. I was alway under the impression that you need an hour + to get a real workout in. WRONG - say you have only 30 minutes to workout - Ryan can make (and teach you how) a 30-minute workout burn like you spent hours at the gym. It never ceases to amaze me how dedicated he is to his business.

Wow. Ryan really is the best guy I've ever trained with. He listens to you and honestly cares where you are in the training, rather than other trainers that just want your money and don't care. Would rate more than 5 stars if possible.

Ryan is very patient which helps if you're just starting out. He comes up with a great workout plan and even gives really good tips on what to eat.

FAQs

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Our first meeting will consist of an assessment as well introducing techniques and exercises I would like to install in your program that fit your needs. The assessment will consist of flexibility, mobility, aerobic and form tests. Nothing too strenuous, just enough to gauge your current limits. Next, ill ask about your nutrition and medical history so we can safely and gradually get you into shape without causing avoidable injuries. Once all info is gathered, ill write a specific workout that will address your issues and begin your transition to getting in shape.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I've been an athlete all my life. My father played professionally, and I wanted to follow in his footsteps. I would watch him train with his teammates and lead them through workouts on the beaches of Southern California. Throughout high school and college, there were few who could out work me in the off-season. There were always faster, stronger, bigger athletes than me in my career, but one thing that I had an edge on was how I prepared myself physically and mentally for the following year . I vowed to let no one train harder or be more consistent than me. As a professional I kept that edge right up to my retirement. Now I am passing my knowledge and experience down to those who are interested in learning.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked with clients recovering from chemotherapy, cancer survivors, new beginners, experienced people, middle aged/elderly, athletes from little league to collegiate, amateur and professional.
