Introduction: We all have unique anatomies, learning styles, and particular areas of interest, and yoga is most beneficial when it is adapted to these aspects. I love understanding my student's needs and carefully designing practices that are both healing and motivating. Individual students are then empowered to be active participants in their own healing process, fitness goals, or journey of transformation.
As an innate seeker and adventurer, in my ever-deepening practice of yoga I found the peace and sense of secure belonging I had always yearned for. I found a solid, loving philosophy, a strong, healthy body, and a platform for being in this world. Being a student of yoga has brought me a level of emotional contentment I didnâÂÂt know was possible, and for this I am eternally grateful.
As a teacher, I start by paying close attention to my student's particular needs, anatomy and physical and mental goals. Using this, I create personalized sessions where every moment is an opportunity for internal calmness, physical well-being and a deep trust in our abilities for personal breakthroughs, no matter how big or small. From the firm belief that yoga transcends age, physique and experience, I draw on the varied and deep knowledge of the excellent teachers I have had the fortune to study with while living in Peru, Thailand, India and, more recently, the US, where I completed my teacher training (RYT 200î) and specialized teacher training in Yoga Therapy.
