I provide a blend of lifestyle related goal setting, challenging fitness, with an expectation of getting results. I combine traditional weight training (dumbbells and machines) with functional fitness (stability balls, kettle bells, balance training, etc) to create a challenging, ever-changing workout to fire up the metabolism, burn calories, build muscle, and reduce body fat. In the end, if you follow the program, you get results. I have been hired by over 155 people here on Thumbtack and thousands of people throughout the years I have been in this industry. I would love to be able to help you with your fitness goals. My workouts are centered around creating a strong, lean core, and build muscle....never the same workout. I really feel like with my 20 years of experience in the industry, I can help people get to where they want to be. I have my studio in the Biltmore area, very centrally located. Matt has been a pleasure to work with. He make sure that I have fun while I am working out. I have seen results in the first 4 weeks while only going 2 times a week. I am down 10 lbs and can see how my body is changing and getting stronger. Matt gave me a meal plan and cardio workouts for the days that I am not in the gym with him. His workouts are challenging but not impossible. He has a great sense of humor and a very positive outlook. I have also had the opportunity to work with his counterpart Lance. Both Matt and Lance have a passion for what they do and are easy to work with. I look forward to my workouts and love seeing the results.

I have been working out with Matt and Lance since about October of 2017. I am down over 50 pounds and in my last doctor's visit he was not only astonished about the weight loss, but on how I reduced key numbers in blood pressure, triglycerides and cholesterol. I feel so much better due to the help of these two. The exercise regimens are personalized and different each time. The plans created by Matt are geared towards what you are trying to address. The equipment in the gym is top notch and Lance and Matt work with you, including giving you recipes for delicious meals. The hours the two are available are fairly flexible and the two monitor your progress to make sure you are not only getting good results, but that you don't hurt yourself. I highly recommend these trainers. Richard

I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience with Matt Jarvis.It has changed my life. He is very dedicated to his work- it is not just a job to him.He is a very nice, kind and patient person. He is very encouraging, supportive and always there for you every step of the way.I have been amazed at the changes that have taken place with my 54 yr.old body. In 5 months I lost 40 pds. ,down 4 sizes and I am stronger than I ever thought I could be. It's like I have a new lease on life as they say. I want to tell the world how great he is but not everyone is ready to give up junk food and to really commit to healthy eating and exercise but it is so worth it! Better health, looking and feeling better there is nothing like it. The workouts he gives you keeps you on your toes and challenges you. I would wholeheartedly recommend him to any man or woman wanting to lose weight and get in shape. I think you would be hard pressed to find any trainer out there who does what Matt does. And ladies (maybe I shouldn't say this) he is very easy on the eyes!

I've been training with Matt for approximately 4 months. I was very out of shape and approximately 25 pounds overweight. My goal was to tone, strengthen, and lose weight. I've lost about 15 pounds, I feel great and look so much better in my cloths. Not only is Matt an expert at strength training and nutrition but he is very motivational. I've tried numerous trainers in the past but I've never stuck with the program long enough to see results. Matt's style is the perfect blend of structure, discipline, and some humor to keep you motivated through your sessions. I would highly recommend him to anyone.
