Introduction: I'd have to say it is the way I go about the finish been applied was done with minimal time and how it was achieved . ("the fastest way from point "A" to point "B" is a straight line) if possible to i'll limit time and material without giving up quality and price on a finish that wasn't needed.I have 30 years experience and color matching while mixing pigmented lacquers and oil based paints one needs to match samples , texture, color and finish come into play, one would be stepping out of bounds saying they done it all, and I find that I've seen many different samples of varies finishes , products used and technique for the desired look is what a finisher should be able to provide .To name some products worked with :Lacquers, enamels , stains , dyes(alcohol and water-based), fillers , glazes, undercoaters (solvent and water-based), automotive acrylic lacquers and enamels, conversion varnishes, shellacs, polane and polyester finishes
when my customer comes in and ask on how and what I did I achieve the desired finish they were looking for on something they had doubts of ever coming close to. I also enjoy the fact that naming some of the projects I spent hours of working on . to name a few :
the Hyatt hotels in Long Beach and Oakland California, Sheraton Hotels at Fisherman's Walf in San Francisco and Jacksonville Florida, Trump Towers in New York, Ralph Lauren Polo at the Galleria Mall in Redondo Beach California, Nieman marcus at Scottsdale , Az. and Boston Mass. , Pebble Beach Resort in Carmel California. this is a short list but this is why I love this job.
