    The word that comes to mind when I think of GPS is PROFESSIONAL--I was impressed with Michael's communication skills and knowledge from the first interaction. He even worked on the weekend to get a work order to us so that work could begin promptly, and juggled the schedule to fit us in right away. We could not be happier with our experience with PGS, and highly recommend them. Even though ours was an emergency situation, they did not try to gouge us, and came in with a very reasonable estimate. Work was done on time and very professionally.     GPS Is The Mold Removal Choice
    The project was black mold on the wall behind my kitchen sink cabinet. GPS came out promptly to give me an estimate to remove the mold and replace the damaged cabinet parts. Once I had insurance approval, (that was what took a week!), they did a very professional job of containing & removing the mold and water damage. The guys stayed overtime to finish and left my kitchen cleaned up and better than new! My claims adjuster said their estimate was "very fair" and their work was excellent.

    Don't promise what you can't deliver...
    I give one star just because we had to select something. We reached out in Dec 2016 to have a screen enclosure done. We had to constantly reach out to the architect that GPS sent us. GPS, when I told them of issues (a very small percentage was hold up from county to get permits) they indicated they would expedite our project to ensure that mom would have her screened in porch for the spring. No bigger than the screened patio was going to be we thought it was a little pricey, but was good with it when we thought they would get it done for spring. We understand that timelines can change, but don't tell a customer you'll expedite a project and then go back on your word. Not good business. Here we are almost in April and we are now being told it would be May/June. We are now looking for another contractor that can keep to their word.

    Cheryl, I am sorry you feel this way, GPS and its staff have only tried to help from the first contact we had with you. We are not responsible for the weeks that passed while you and the 3rd-party architect worked to properly solve outstanding site and permitting issues. We went 6 weeks without a word, only to have you write us angrily that the architect was unavailable. That has never been our experience and we could have helped if you had asked. The fact was, your husband had been in contact with the architect and was satisfied that progress was underway. Maybe there is a miscommunication here, in the original proposal there was substantial work for our team to perform ($16,759.54). The custom screens would be put on order and installed when received - AFTER our construction work was completed. We do not have any control over any of our suppliers, I am sorry for this as well. When the project was simplified for reasons known to you and the architect, GPS researched the new scope of work and re-quoted ($6,857.20); the project had materially changed. Now, the longest lead time item was the screens and little other work was required. I apologize that we got 'off-track' and for my part in setting your expectations improperly. GPS was prepared to start as soon as possible predicated on the architect's finding, permitting issues, final design and material needs. There was no way for us to produce a completed project in a week or two given the special order for custom screens. When I spoke with you about expediting your project, that was meant to assure you that when the design, permitting and contracts were signed, GPS would immediately bring a team to start your project.     A tenant discovered a slow leak behind a washer in one of the properties I handle, no idea how long it had been going on but 8 ft of wall had to be removed due to mold.     Fantastic experience working with Micheal and the GPS team remodeling my back patio ceiling with stained wood planks. Quote was received shortly after my request and they provided valuable input on the project. The GPS team always followed up on my questions. Once hired, they did an excellent job installing the new wood ceiling on time and in a professional manner. This big project took one week to complete and they always showed up on time and cleaned up after each day of work. One of the best experiences if not the best experience I have had working with a contractor. I would highly recommend working with Micheal and his team. Thank you GPS!

    We noticed some mold in our family home and knew it needed attention. I called a few businesses and Global Prevention Services was the first to respond. They expertly assessed the situation and gave me a quote later that day. Not only was their quote extremely comprehensive, it was the best value. The service people were timely, courteous and respectful. They cleaned up after the job very well. I can honestly say I would give this company more than 5 stars if that were an option.     2013 Global Prevention Services in Phoenix, Arizona, had the instruction to restore our home which was partly damaged by water and mold. Parts of walls, floors, kitchen-and bath furniture plus various installations needed to be replaced. We, the owners, live overseas and had neither influence nor ways of control to overlook the forthcoming progress concerning the project, but GPS has proven to be reliable. GPS's estimates were more reasonable in comparison to other companies. All issues like; perfect timing, well trained friendly leading personnel and correct accounts are agenda. Global Prevention Services passed professional inspection and brought full satisfaction to us. Without doubts we can recommend this trustworthy company.

    I got a special deal from AAA for two hours of general contractor work from Global Prevention Services. We have a stucco wall that's about two feet high around a courtyard in front of our home that had a large crack in it, and two hours seemed about right for someone to fill in the crack and paint the wall. The man who came was eager to get the job done, gathered the filler and paint and went to work. Before he painted, he showed us the repaired seam and explained what he had to do since the crack was rather wide. He was competent, friendly and efficient, and if we need a contractor in the future, we won't hesitate to call Global Prevention Services.

    We were having a small tiling job done that required ripping up a patch of carpet and tiling an entry-way. The handyman was on time and brought everything he needed to do the work with the materials and vision I supplied. He also added some of his own input which helped make it look great. He custom-cut some of the tiles as needed, and it looks great.

    The team at GPS did a fantastic job on my friend's property. My buddy, Bill, is an elderly gentlemen from Vietnam and did not speak English. I was the intermediary between Bill and Michael, and Michael did an excellent job explaining all the details and questions for my friend and I. When Bill went on a two month long trip, a water filtering unit under his sink went kaput and leaked water everywhere. By the time he got back the floors were not wet, but there was mold up to 4 feet on his walls! GPS had replace all the drywall, cabinets, countertops, and a few appliances. While the work took a week longer than expected (Bill had some unique cabinetry that Home Depot promised to have in stock but did not due to the northeastern storm at the time), the team kept in touch with me through phone and email and helped me understand how the home insurance aspect works. I quoted 6 different places and almost went with someone else just as reputable, but GPS's professionalism and customer service (not to mention low prices and a complete breakdown of estimated costs) won me over in the end. I will definitely recommend them to my friends should they need it.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our service does require an on-site visit (provided at no charge in our market areas) so that all the details can be collected to properly service the needs of our clients. No matter if the project is brand new construction, a minor or major remodel or a remediation or emergency situation, true and accurate pricing requires data collection, site awareness and the determination for equipment, material and product needs. Those who will quote site unseen will have to change their quote (later on) or have built-in price protection that will only serve themselves.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
GPS is different and much of what we do that separates us from our competitors are trade secrets - literally. But, we can offer in answer to this question that most of our success lies in 'listening'. We are all about the client, their desires and needs or for those looking for direction or advice, we enjoy that too. It is such a simple concept, but so few businesses ever master the art of satisfying their clients - completely, each and every time. We meet with our clients and prospects, follow their lead, and augment their projects when asked to do so. We then communicate continuously until we have delivered on their vision. No lip service, no excuses, just a focused effort to generate results, create associations and enjoy the work and the relationships.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We are constantly gaining knowledge, attending seminars & events and our key people are required to maintain their certifications through continuing education. The Founder of the company speaks regularly to audiences within the industry and to real estate professionals, builders and others related to the development, construction and maintenance of real property.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was retired, then took a temporary position as President of a construction company (I had no construction background) and experienced five major projects (U.S. AFB, International Airport, Federal Courthouse, an FBI Building & a 300-unit apartment complex) where mold was discovered. We hired 4 mold companies to conduct the 5 projects and after great turmoil, ineptitude, cost overruns, ALL 5 projects failed independent testing. I had to do something, people and companies needed a real resource that professionally performed. I founded GPS and created PureSpace as a result of the needs of the market.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We have been blessed to work with the widest possible range of clients imaginable. From home owners to property managers, real estate agents and brokers, builders, billion dollar commercial general contractors to institutional and governmental clients. We work primarily in building spaces, but we have saved jets, RVs, autos and other personal property. From a closet to 16 buildings on an Air Force Base, GPS has experienced a very wide variety of buildings, properties and spaces. We are a General Contractor so we do it all for our clients. We perform new build construction, remodels, repairs and much more.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
It seems each client project provides us the opportunity to shine and we love the relationships that come from our honest efforts. We arrive every day with the desire to solve issues, build quality and deliver beyond the expectations of our customers. We just finished a project where microbial remediation was required and a great deal of time and money had been spent with another company. The results, as provided by a 3rd party indoor air quality expert, were very negative, literally unhealthy. GPS was able to enter the project, perform our exclusive process, (PureSpace) and reverse what was a very negative situation. Fast, affordable and effective - it's a winning combination that brings us accolades and great satisfaction.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Keep your eyes and ears open. Actually check references (make sure they are not relatives!) and compare all, more than just price. Scope of work is a key factor - will each company do all that is necessary or are shortcuts in play. Read warranties (most won't have any or will have ones that are voided if water is present), check licensing, insurance, etc.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
This industry is unregulated and while the vast majority of practitioners are very good people, ones who care and try hard, they are simply limited by dated technology and failed practices. We have developed a product line (non-toxic) and created a process that replaces the flawed approach of the past. You can now pay less and get the best possible results.
