I could not be more pleased. I have a large wool area rug that my puppy had several accidents on. I did not want the rug cleaned in my home as I have furniture on it and felt it would be best cleaned outside the home. I live in Old Town Scottsdale, Chris picked up the rug (most carpet cleaners will not provide that service) and he not only got the spots out but all the urine odor as well. He delivered the rug back to us. It looks like a new rug. Chris worked with me on the dates I had available for both the pick up and delivery. He was kind and very accommodating. He also had one of the best prices of all the carpet services I contacted. I would recommend him to anyone needing carpet cleaning and I will be using his service again. You will be happy with the work he does.

scheduled our service for the next day. quote was for $100 for entire house with 2 workers. Unfortunately was not told of additional add on fees if needing heavier pretreatment due to pets or high traffic areas. After examining the carpet was told it would be $250. 😲 I could have supplied them with pictures prior so the $150 extra would not have been such a shock. I would suggest asking more detailed questions before quoting and online price to give consumers I better experience. We did go ahead with the carpet cleaners and were satisfied.

Daniel has just completed cleaning our family room carpet and has cleaned our entire first floor tile and recolored the grout. Having had other professional big name carpet cleaning services in the past, the job Daniel did for us was beyond comparison. The carpet now looks brand new, as does the tile....he did a fantastic job, and was very professional and diligent!! We highly recommend his services....you will not be disappointed!!

After our upstairs toilet leaked through the bathroom floor/garage roof, Charles was able to quickly repair the roof and replaced the baseboards in our bathroom all for a very reasonable price. His work speaks for itself, he took the time to ensure that our baseboards and the caulking on the tile floor matched as close as possible, his technician Jaime did a great job texturing the garage roof. Overall we are very happy with the work that was done, Charles was very knowledgable, professional and we highly recommended taking advantage of his services.

I have used several carpet cleaners in the past. But NONE like Armando. He has the best equipment and it is super clean. He got out stains previous carpet cleaners had not. I could not believe the work he did for the price we paid. I have already handed out his business cards to family. We love Armando and will only use him from now on.

So impressed! Trevor was extremely knowledgeable and was thorough with his cleaning. 10/10, would recommend to family and friends, and the price they charge is so reasonable! We'd have REN Cleaning Service come back in a heartbeat! They did a great job and I am stunned by how dramatic the difference is in my carpets! I have used several different carpet cleaners in the past, but these are the guys I would recommend, my carpets look brand new again!

We are a local church with banquet hall of 8,500 sf ft. The carpet tiles were laid 5 years ago hand have never been cleaned. Peter and his crew did an amazing job. The carpet looked great afterwards and even after 3 months, none of the previous stains returned. I recommend Peter and we are in the process of having him come out under contract at least semi-annually to keep our Hall clean and fresh. Good price too!!

Best carpet cleaner in the Valley. He's very professional, very thorough, and a really nice guy. We had a carpet "emergency" that involved a pet stain. Mr. Clean was able to solve the problem and get our carpet looking like new. He's our go-to guy for all things related to carpets, and cleaning. You will not be disappointed.

Jessie's and crew were prompt in both the initial meeting and with schedule work to be completed. They cleaned a 2,500 Sqft of office space including carpet and VCT tile that had not been cleaned in several years (4+) due to the building being vacant and turned it into a great usable space with their deep corner cleaning, stripping of tile and carpet cleaning as promised. They will be retained for future work at this space and our other buildings. Great Job

Wonderfully perfect carpet and tile cleaning. I am very happy. I have had big name brand companies in the past and not nearly as good as Valleys Best. Technician Greg I know will do perfect job and that is why I will request him again in future. The only carpet cleaners I would recommend.

I had YoLee come to my house a short notice and she came with no problems ask. She was very friendly and professional. She did a good job cleaning my home and knew alot about her cleaning performance. I had a stain on my floor that even carpet cleaner couldn't get out and she manage to remove the stain using baking soda and her secret recipes. I am thankful for Yolee and would recommend her to my family and friends.

ClearPro did an excellent job cleaning my carpets. Very professional and friendly. I had my garage door worked on the day after I had my carpets cleaned, and the workman tracked in heavy black grease onto my newly cleaned carpets! I called ClearPro and they sent Robert right out. It was amazing that he got that heavy black grease out, he was a miracle worker.

I just bought Lifeguard Carpet from New Flooring Today! I have 2 dogs and 3 kids under 5, so my floors are always a mess! They promised that this carpet is kid and pet proof and supposedly water proof! All I can say is 3 days after they installed it... My kids and my dogs made a mess, with liquids and dirt and they instantly came up. I am glad they recommended this flooring for me! They gave it to me for 60% off and installed it 4 days later. You should definitely get this carpet and they say they have lifeguard flooring in laminate or wood, so thinking about using that in my kitchen and basement as well, especially since it is waterproof! Great flooring by I think Shaw and great company!

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

Who cleans area rugs?

Like your carpets, area rugs should ideally be cleaned at least once a year to remove dust and dirt and help them last longer. In general, carpet cleaning professionals also clean area rugs. Some rug cleaners bring their cleaning equipment to your home, while others remove your area rugs and clean them at their facilities. Either way, the rug should be cleaned with the solution most appropriate to its specific fabric and construction. It should also be completely dry before you return it to the floor.

How often should carpets be steam cleaned?

Dirty carpets can be unhealthy for the people living in the home, particularly those who have allergies, so it’s important to have them cleaned regularly; simply vacuuming once or twice a week isn’t enough. Carpet cleaning should be done by a professional carpet cleaning service at least once a year to remove grime and help extend the life of your carpet. Most carpet manufacturers recommend professional steam cleaning, which penetrates deep into the carpet fibers and lifts out both dirt and the pollutants that get tracked inside. Steam cleaning also removes most of the moisture, so carpets dry quickly enough for homeowners to resume using them the same day. Between professional carpet cleanings, your carpet may need an emergency spot cleaning. Pet accidents, food or drink spills, and more can often be effectively cleaned with some water and a drop of white vinegar, although many cleaners will also make house calls for smaller spills and hard-to-clean spots like wine or grease stains.

How much does it cost to clean a rug?

Area rugs are typically found in high-traffic areas of the home, like hallways and entryways, so they collect more dirt and stains than simple vacuuming can handle. Similar to carpet cleaning, professionals can come to your home to deep-clean your area rugs. The national average cost for rug cleaning ranges from $80 to $120, but may be higher or lower depending on the rug’s size and fiber type. Rug cleaners generally charge by the square foot; for example, a standard 8-foot by 10-foot rug costs an average of $100 to clean. Natural fiber rugs, such as wool or silk, are usually more expensive to have cleaned than synthetic rugs. A carpeting cleaning company may charge on average $1.50 per square foot to clean a synthetic rug, $2 per square foot for a wool rug, and $3 per square foot for a silk rug. Some delicate rugs need to be washed by hand, which increases the price. Carpet cleaning companies often offer additional services, such as removing odors or applying moth deterrent, which can add 20 cents to 25 cents per square foot.

How much does it cost to clean a carpet?

Carpet cleaning costs vary depending on the type of cleaning, such as steam cleaning, and whether there are any stains that require special treatment. The main cost factors are the square footage of the carpet and the material it’s made from. The national average carpet cleaning price ranges from $100 to $130 for a typical suburban home, but steam cleaning prices start at an average of $120. In general, professional carpet cleaning ranges from an average of 20 cents to 50 cents per square foot, depending on where you live. Many companies have a minimum fee or room requirement — such as two rooms for an average of $40 each — and will charge more to clean carpeted stairs or a second floor. Finally, the carpet fiber type, density and pile will also affect the cost of cleaning; man-made fibers are stain-resistant and easier to clean, while wool carpeting is sensitive to water and requires more care.

How much does it cost to clean an area rug?

Whether your pet had an accident, the party got too wild, or your kids can’t control their juice boxes — we all need rug cleaning from time to time. In fact, even if you don’t have a spill or spot, it’s wise to have your area rug cleaned approximately once a year to keep the rug fibers in good health. In general, rug cleaning prices depend on the square footage of the rug, what the rug is made of, whether any repairs are needed, and whether you require the pro to travel to your location or provide pickup and drop-off services. Nationally, average area rug cleaning prices range from $80 to $120.

Wool and silk area rugs typically cost more to clean than rugs made from synthetic fibers because the more delicate materials take more care and may require specialized cleaning fluids. For example, a synthetic rug may cost $1.50 per square foot to clean; a wool, cotton, or chiffon rug could be $2 per square foot; and a silk or Navajo wool rug could cost $3 per square foot. The two most common rug cleaning methods are steam and chemical cleaning. The costs for the two methods are often the same, although a steam-cleaned rug will take longer to dry due to the moisture. If your area rug needs odor removal, moth deterrent, or hand washing, there will be additional charges.
