  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

*Make sure the tutor has good eye contact with student. * Do not let the tutor monopolize the conversation. * A good tutor will give an example of how to do a problem or a mini lesson * then ask the student to demonstrate their knowledge by performing the same task on their homework. This takes time. * Some students have great enough aptitudes that they just need some help with their homework and then they understand. Other students need more help. * Typically 2-3 hours per week on a tutor is the minimum a student needs. However some student need to double this number. * The tutor should be patient. * The tutor should never do the work for the student. * The tutor should provide the student with enough notes that the student can study these notes to pass the test. *The tutor should explain things in clear common sense terms that everyone can understand not just math geeks.
