I am an athlete at heart and I found myself completely unhappy with my body and health about a year ago. After trying to work on my self esteem first, I decided in September it was time to get back into fitness like I had been my whole life. I came on thumbtack and scheduled meetings with five different trainers. I met with JJ first and cancelled the rest before I even had a workout with him. Honestly I hired him only based off of his personality and game plan for for getting me back into shape. He literally is one of the funniest people I have met. However he doesn't mess around when it's time to work. And each workout I find that he can push me to limits I didn't know I had. I have lost 24 pounds so far but have become so much stronger and healthier. We weight lift, do cardio, and he has taught me personal defense. I was skeptical paying money to get fit but I'm investing in my health and it truly makes me happy. (He is going to make fun of me for getting sappy on this but whatever he deserves it)
I recently hired OJ has my personal trainer and I couldn't be happier. I'm so excited to work with him. Not only is he very professional, he's motivating, which I think is big part when trying to loose weight. My workouts with a previous trainer don't even compare to OJ's workouts. Last winter I was fortunate enough to meet Paul and start my physical training program. I approached Paul with the lack of motivation to push myself to the level I desired. I wanted drastic results. I was ready to sculpt my body into top shape after having my second child. Although I am accustomed to weight training and competed in Division I college sports, I was a novice to Paul's style of training. I am constantly challenged by his weight training workouts which are infused with explosive squats, plyometrics, and sprints to name just a few. After six weeks, I had achieved more than I would have thought possible. The benefits included: a substantial drop in body fat (my leanest yet), increased overall body strength and energy, accelerated stamina, stabilized mood after recently having a baby, and sound sleep. After two years, I still look forward to each workout, and prepare for each session like I am pitching in the college world series, as he continuously keeps me guessing by introducing new skills and methods to keep my interest.
I was a little over weight and couldn't figure out why I was having so much trouble getting rid of that last little bit of fat around my stomach. I am an active guy who eats healthy and exercises regularly. I was convinced that I was doing everything right and there was nothing more I could do. I had come to the point where I told myself this was as good as I'm ever going to look and this was my body's limitation. I met with Manuk. We sat down for a consultation. He asked me about my weight training routine, my diet and my overall lifestyle, both in and out of the gym. Then we got deep. He not only wanted to know what I wanted out of fitness but also why I wanted it. I love how detail oriented he was. He seemed to genuinely care. I was a little bit caught off guard because I was just used to those trainers at big corporate gyms that all they wanted to do was sign you up for training so they can hit their monthly quota. However, I felt like Manuk was different. The consultation was unrushed. He broke down fitness in a way that really sank in for me. Finally, he mapped out a plan on how we would, "attack this obstacle." I was in and couldn't wait to start. We trained 3-4 times per week. I had a program and diet to follow and we coordinated the days to make sure we hit every muscle in my body. I had to do check-ins with him whenever I did cardio and on the days we weren't working out together to make sure I stayed on track. He would usually ask me what I ate the night before or what I was planning on eating throughout the day. Diet was a huge part of it and Manuk helped me figure out a plan that worked for me. I work long hours and I don't have the luxury of cooking every night. I loved the way my body changed. I loved how much stronger I had gotten. I loved how lean I was and most of all I loved how despite my own thoughts, I had pushed past my plateau. Manuk took my body to the next level, to say the least. Working with Vinny has completely changed how I work out. I was always good at motivating myself at the gym, but I knew I wasn't maximizing my time. By combining martial arts, weight training, cardio, and my own diet plan (created by Vinny and based on my specific measurements) I'm now seeing big changes in my body. He's such a great motivator to do that "one last rep" and really focuses on not only training the body, but the mind as well. I'd recommend him to anyone and everyone!!

Sandy is such a lovely person to have as a trainer! She thinks of different hour long work outs for you for every time you train! We did a mixture of cardio and weight training, with special attention to the places on my body I wanted to tone. She's super personable, friendly, approachable, and generous with her time. I also lost a few inches the first month I trained. She was also willing to meet me at a local park or my own residence, which was helpful with certain weather conditions. I would recommend her to anyone who wants personal training--if you're looking for someone who yells at you and is more of a "sergeant" about it, though, this isn't for you.
Meryl is the best trainer I've ever had or even met with. For the first time in my life, I look forward to working out. She goes beyond the goal of getting in shape and losing weight- she is focused on a program that corrects all the physical problems I've gotten from working at a desk for most of the day. She is able to work around my insanely demanding work schedule and provide amazing services. There is no better trainer in Los Angeles. In just a few months, I have seen rapid gains and a lot of transformation. Meryl is the absolute best.
Sandy is awesome!! She pushes me but makes sure I don't do anything to injure myself. Every workout is different and she challenges me which I love! I highly recommend Sandy if your looking to shed some weight and tone up!
Excellent hands on personal training. The motivation you need to take yourself to the next level. Variety of workouts including outside field conditioning days, doing stairs and lifting weights. Definitely recommend signing up if you want to whip yourself into shape!

Idrise is an exceptional find and have been training with him for the last two months. When I first met Idrise four months ago, I lacked energy and was overweight looking to make a lifestyle change and increase my strength and endurance. After two months of training, I have lost 25 pounds and my energy levels as well as my strength have increased tremendously. Idrise is highly knowledgeable and provides excellent guidance on nutrition and weight training. Not only is he highly knowledgeable, he makes my workouts fun:)! I wish I had found him sooner! Jennifer is an all-around great human being and an amazing trainer. I wanted to find a trainer that I felt comfortable with and one that would listen to my health goals. Jennifer immediately made me feel at ease. I instantly felt like I was working out with a friend, but a friend who pushes me and keeps me accountable. I never felt like "just another client" to her. She cares about my progress and always keeps in touch with me throughout the week. She is available to answer questions re diet in between session and will even provide “homework” when needed. She is so energetic and sweet that I actually look forward to working out with her! Jennifer knows how to mix things up so that I don't get bored, strength training, circuits, cardio, weights, to name just a few. We never fall into a routine or gut stuck in a rut. She brings different work out equipment for us to use and challenges me at every session pushing me further than I ever imagined. She is absolutely the best trainer I have ever had and I am beyond grateful that she is leading the way for me on this health journey.

First of all, its great to see Mami going independent. I am her former client, I moved to Chicago a while back, but hey, this girl really changed my body type from being obese to being in shape. I still do most of the work out that she has taught me and as she has done many sports such as gymnastics, martial arts, and dance, she taught me all the hard yet great conditioning that no trainers have never taught me. She is awesome, sweet, and super bad ass, yet she is hardcore some point because she wants to see her clients successfully reaching their goals. This is an excellent private gym. I've been going there for over a month now and I love it. It doesn't smell like your typical gym. It is well ventilated. The trainers there all seem to be professional and have a great relationship with their client. I also like the fact that there isn't a lot of noise. So no grunting or dropping weights. Very comfortable for all.
Thu has the perfect balancing of push and pull. I know going into every workout whether it's leg day or back, I AM GOING TO BE SORE. And that's in the best way possible. There's something amazing knowing that her workouts push your body in all the right ways. It makes the time spent in the gym 100% worth it. I've been working out with Thu for 3 months now. I have the lowest body fat percentage I've ever had in my life. Weight is going to the right places and my overall tone definition is improving. She's the best if you're looking for results!
I have followed Eric's posts about nutrition for years and finally decided to sign up at the beginning of the year. His knowledge of nutrition is unparalleled. I thought I knew a lot about nutrition but Eric has taught me so much that I never knew. In less than two months I have lost 15 lbs, my blood pressure is down, and I have more energy. What I like best is that Eric's focus is on changing the way I eat long term and not a quick weight loss diet that will mess up my metabolism. I have tried all of those and always end up back in the same place. This time I was looking for something permanent.

Pamela came to my home 2x a week for 8 weeks and motivated me to push myself for 30-min sessions. That commitment jump-started my new exercise routine which I have incorporated into my busy lifestyle. She has a firm, yet sweet approach to motivate you which is a great combination to have especially when you want to give up on the last rep! As I am a senior adult, it is hard for me to be in certain positions. Ronnie has adapted other positions for me so that I can do the same thing. Ronnie listens and pays attention to individual needs. She is a stickler about maintaining the correct way to lift weights. Ronnie is also patient with regards to explaining the correct form and will repeat herself as many times as you need in order to get it.
