Ross quickly helped find the inner creativity in me in oil painting - and did it in a way that made me feel like painting was extension of who I am. He is an exceptional, one of a kind teacher that has the true soul of an artist.
Picture Framing is an art and Lisa has the eye for it. Lisa did a wonderful job framing my artwork. Excellent job in picking out the right molding to go with the painting and did a perfect job in cutting moldings and framing. I found Lisa great to work with and would LOVE to work with her again.

Whether you are a first time beginning painter or have been painting for a while, I can help you get to the next step in your paintings. Most painters get stuck when they try to mix the "perfect color". I use a simple 3 primary color mixing system plus white, that makes color mixing easy and the painting colors remain harmonious. A great painting starts with a great composition but finding that stellar composition is very tricky. Having attended many workshops in the past 18 years, I bring all those painting tips and tricks to you in my personalized instruction. Ever go into the local art store and come out dazed and confused as to what to buy. Why does one manufacturer's brush or tube of paint cost $17.50 and yet another company sells the same item for half the price? I can help you navigate those art store minefields and save you money. Years of experience have taught me where to shop and what to buy. Higher price does not always mean better quality, especially in those big box art/craft stores. I'm available for private acrylic or oil painting instruction. My fee is $35/hr. (2 hour minimum). I specialize in plein air painting, painting outdoors on location and classroom instruction. Group rates are available. I have been teaching professionally for the past 3 years and have been exhibiting and selling my art for the past 13 years with the Artists Guild of SF in various outdoor locations. Additionally, I teach evening oil painting classes in Brisbane, CA at Mission Blue Center on a year round basis. Classes range in size from 4-7 students. Most of my students are busy high tech employees that need time away from work to relax and explore their creative side. If that sounds like fun, email for more details. Talk to you soon.... I am an artist with my own gallery in San Francisco, and one of my art educations is art teaching, so I teach different classes: drawing, painting, etching, pastel, ink you name it. I have been doing it all my life. I can do one-on-one classes or two to four students at a time. I teach at my studio in San Francisco at 3404 Balboa Street/35th Avenue. I arrange annual art shows for my students, and they get a lot of experience in creating their art, showing it, selling it, etc. My clients do not include the mayor of San Francisco, because I only teach talented, dedicated to art people; a mayor is a mayor. I teach both high-school children and adults. As I said, I choose my students according to their talent. Welcome to my studio!
