Hired on Thumbtack

Had hired them for 2 men for a relatively small job loading a truck that I had rented. They showed up early, which I appreciated. On the one hand one of the two gentlemen did a great job of packing and carefully wrapping all of my stuff. He was great. The other one however wound up leaving halfway through the job requiring me to help complete the task. I thought that was incredibly unprofessional. Even though I paid for two people, I basically got one and a half. The other issue is they were really confused about by booking. While they ultimately were able to confirm it I was told online the day before they moved that they had no record of it. I rated this a three, could’ve been a five but really need to complete the job before you leave. That was pretty bad.

The team at Best Moving of Anaheim was amazing from start to finish. I was referred to Best Moving by a friend to help me with my move from the Bay Area to Long Beach in the middle of the pandemic. I had a lot of anxiety and stress about this particular move given all of what was going on in the world around me. From the start, Doug was a tremendous help in walking me through all of the requirements I had and how Best Moving could accommodate my family's move. Keep in mind that he was managing our moving project completely remotely without having the luxury of "inspecting" or otherwise having a visual of what we were moving. Doug nailed it. He made arrangements for a team to arrive on our desired move date and kept me updated every step of the way from the start to the finish of the loading. Upon arriving in Long Beach 24 hours later, I was met by my moving team at my new apartment (rented sight unseen). They arrived exactly on time per our negotiated move-in appointment and they were fast. I mean, FAST. The professional service I received was truly appreciated. The team was efficient, tidy and exceeded my expectations during what could have been a very difficult and stressful time. Instead, Doug and the rest of the team at Best Moving were fantastic. I hope I don't have to move anytime soon; however, when I do, Best Moving will be the first people I call for help.

I had a very good experience with this company. 2 guys moved me from Orange to Huntington Beach. It was a difficult time in my life and I was all over the place. From the moment I called and Douglas answered, I felt my moving stress start to float away. The office staff is very knowledgeable and personable. I expected a robotic response of "this is your cost for your move", but Douglas spent the time to find out the items I had and even gave me tips on packing. The day of the move, the movers were on time, clean cut and down right funny. Once again my moving stress went out the window. Rich and Bob moved me. Man they were great. Job was done faster than I thought, and the guys really spent time on protecting my furniture. They took apart all my beds cribs and desks, without losing hardware like the last company. I would recommend this company to my family and friends any day. Definitely will be a repeat customer from now on! Thanks Douglas, Richard and Bob, and everyone else at Best Moving.
