FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing depends on the true scope of work. Sometimes the customer's expectation of what the scope of work consists of may turn out to either be much more or much less than what they thought initially. This is why I like to discuss with my customers either on the phone, on a video call or in person about their project so that we can coordinate our true scope of work together. Doing so enables me to give the most accurate quote possible.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to ensure that I limit the amount of trips that I need to take to the hardware store. This means that before I lift any tool, first I lift a pen to plan, plan more and then execute. If a face to face session isn't possible, I will ask for pictures or video that relates the the scope of work being requested. After both the customer and I are confident in our plan of attack, then I get to work, while the customer enjoys the rest of their day.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I joined the Sprinkler Fitters union when I became eligible to apply at the age of 18. My first day on a job site was life changing because I got to observe how every trade operated. I was amazed at how the flow of work was chaotic, but yet harmonious at the same time as each trade knew when it was their time to kick it into gear to ensure that they didn't affect the other trades efficiency. Since that day, I've made it a personal goal to learn as much as I can about EVERY trade.
