Steve is a great guy, very genuine. We only had somewhat of an idea of what we had in mind when designing a gazebo/patio cover for our backyard. Steve quickly came up with a plan and sent us a design the same day. We had a bid by the following day and we were very happy with the quote. He sent us a supply list and my husband met him at Home Depot to purchase the items and arrange for delivery. Steve provides his customers with his veteran's discount, which is very helpful.
It's important to keep in mind that Steve is a one-man-show, so projects may take a little longer. I'm not exactly sure how he managed to do it without help. I'm certain it took some careful maneuvering and a lot of patience. We also had to contend with some rain delays. Our project took almost exactly one month, but worth the wait. We love it.
As Steve began working on the project, he realized some changes needed be made, due to the size and it needing more support, and we would receive occasional receipts left behind for reimbursement. At one point, nearing the end of the project, there was some confusion/miscommunication between us. We thought that the additional supports and such were included in our original bid since, to us, it seemed necessary to the strength of the structure. This wasn't the case, so instead of paying more out of pocket than we had intended my husband offered to finish that portion of the job.
We love the finished product and have already entertained friends. Steve works very hard, and is very easy to work with. He has great ideas, just be sure to ask if it will be in addition to the original quote.
Again, overall we love, love, love the patio cover, and Steve was easy to work with.
