We booked ECC for our wedding videography, and could not be happier with Connor & Emma.  We had booked a different videographer who ghosted us, leaving us with just over a week to find another option. We posted a message on Thumbtack, hoping to get responses within a day or two - Connor and Emma responded fine minutes later. Not only were they punctual and efficient, but they were also personable, open-minded (willing to do whatever we wanted for our video), very flexible (able to be wherever we needed them on short notice), and all around simply kind. They met our photographers on our wedding day and managed to coordinate with them very well. Everything went very smoothly in no small part thanks to Connor and Emma. They also sent us a preview of our wedding video on the day after the wedding! The really quick turnaround was extremely convenient, and the quality of the video itself blew us away. Even though we agreed to use stock music, they managed to find music that fit the theme of the wedding reception exactly (music with steel drums). Long story short, they were great and we can't recommend them highly enough."See more

We loved our engagement photos with Michael!!! He had a competitive rate, was very responsive, and delivered stunning photos that we'll keep forever. We hired Milan to do wedding and reception photos for my brother’s wedding. Right from booking, to the date of the event, he was very responsive and punctual. He even gave us ideas of the photoshoot and suggested some amazing poses for the couple. The photos came out excellent. He was flexible enough to accommodate some time changes in the schedule and agreed to do a pending photoshoot later due to rains. Would definitely recommend him for any events.

Brittani drove from San Jose to North San Francisco to capture our proposal in secret. This is after not having met either of us in person at all and with just a couple messages back and forth between us (granted we did have a contract and all..). She even said she was stopping in the city a couple days after first contacting her and scoped out my chosen location even further! The photos turned out way better than I could’ve ever expected, even with her fabulous gallery. She turned around the photos within 48 hours and we are extremely satisfied with the results. Working with Andrea on our engagement shoot was a lot of fun! Andrea responded to messages quickly and communicated clearly every step of the way. Lazaro went above and beyond anything I expected. I hired 1Shot1Pic to help photograph my surprise proposal to my fiancée. Lazaro amazed me with his passion for photography in a few ways -- 1) Went to the site of the proposal a week early to scope it out 2) On the day of the proposal, got to the site very early to prepare 3) Answered every one of my phone calls or messages within a couple of hours 4) Captured more than 100 high quality pictures for me in less than an hour 5) Played/acted along to make my surprise proposal a success Lazaro really delivers on his promise to capture a story, not just photographs. Can't recommend Michael enough! We hired him for our city hall civil ceremony and the photoshoot made the day much more memorable. The photos turned out gorgeous and I love his style of edits. My fiance and I had Shaun meet us at the SF MoMA for engagement photos and truly had so much fun. As someone who usually isn't in front of the camera, he did a great job of directing us on what to do, making it natural, and really made the most of the hour we had. I was hoping for a couple of good shots, and now we have so many we love it'll be hard to pick! Great energy, clearly very talented - would highly recommend.

Shannon recently took our engagement photos and was so game for every scenario. As a couple, we love the outdoors and Shannon gamely suggested a camping shoot to capture us in our happy place. She was more than willing to boulder hop and scramble to chase the light. When we came upon a police blockade on the way to one of the shoot locations, she suggested we capitalize on time by simply shooting in a field and some gorgeous shots resulted from that shoot. Needless to say, regardless the setting, Shannon has an eye for capturing moments of intimacy and fun. Her eye for light and willingness to experiment meant she captured a wide variety of shots. She is uniquely skilled at photographing both people and nature. We are so happy with the results and really value the memories that have been captured in perpetuity, thanks to Shannon.

I chose Sparks because Tom had so many if not all great reviews. I also looked through his photos and they seemed like professional, quality shots. I spoke with Tom on the phone before booking him, and he seemed thoughtful and professional as well. He told me he would probably be the one to shoot my daughter's Doljanchi (major Korean event to celebrate 1st birthday). A couple of days before, he messaged me and told me one of his photographers, Monet would be coming instead. I started to feel unsure about it, since I had only spoken to Tom about what my expectations were and which shot (s) were most important. I specifically hired a photographer for a single shot of my daughter sitting on a table with all her 'blessings'. This is a costly table that is carefully set-up for this specific portrait photograph. This photo is a photo I was going to send out to friends and family as well as a photo for my daughter to look back on to understand her heritage. I reiterated in email and on phone that this was the shot I needed. I also specifically asked for 'no flash' because the entire space was surrounded by windows and natural light (not knowing the photographers abilities to shoot in this condition). The settings were so off, that every single shot (130+) came our blurry regardless of pixels per inch. There was also not enough exposure so all the white surfaces were dark and gray. Side note: You can not edit a photo to have more light, that was not taken with enough exposure. I am not a pro photographer, but I am also not a novice. Even I know how to shoot in these conditions. If you are a paid photographer that is not familiar with no flash photography or you feel there is not enough light to produce quality shots; it is your job to make the professional decision to use a flash; perhaps with a diffuser. Not only were the settings on the camera off, the photos were framed so poorly, and I didn't get all of the shots I requested. The one shot I did request, she took ONE single photo of with half the table cut off. It was so bad I cried when I saw it because I was so upset. I cried because my baby will never be one again. I cried because we spent weeks getting all the table objects, some from Korea. I cried because I knew I would never get my squirmy baby in that Hanbok ever again with far away family watching. Lesson learned: I should have spent more time on a photographer or given myself time to do it. Monet also did not greet me when she came in, I had to walk up to her in the midst of setting up and talking to friends and family who flew in from across the country. She didn't say a single word to me except to ask me what a certain object was. She did not smile once, did not say anything really. Tom clearly did not communicate to her what we had discussed. Knowing now, I would have hired a professional photographer three times the cost, to get the one photo Sparks missed. I do blame myself too, but wanted to communicate that anyone else that decides to choose Sparks - speak DIRECTLY to the photographer coming to your event (not just Tom). What a disaster!!! PS. Tom was very professional in responding to my dissatisfaction and refunded half of the charge. He also offered to re-shoot with everything set-up which was not possible. It was nice of him to offer.

I first contacted Giovanni in early September 2025 seeking a photographer for a proposal shoot the following month. Right away I was impressed with his quick response and friendly demeanor! Our conversation felt refreshingly personal, no copy-pasted responses like other photographers I had contacted. I gave him a few locations in San Francisco I had in mind and he asked me to provide some inspiration photos. He knows the city well and is familiar with all the locations I sent him. Once we locked in a time and place (The Palace of Fine Arts), Giovanni continued to show great communication and eased the stress leading up to the big moment! The shoot lasted about an hour. He had lots of ideas for different poses and scenes. I couldn't believe how many shots we were able to get in that short time! He truly helped make the experience fun, professional, and unforgettable. He also provided some sample shots within a couple days and had a full portfolio done within the week.
