World-class artistic talent is indeed rare, whether it be in musical performance, music teaching, visual art, design, language arts or in a general aesthetically creative orbit. What is truly rare is that these attributes can collectively dwell at once in one human being. Rusi Mchedlishvili is one of these gifted beings. I have watched her test these gifts since she began piano study with me as a college freshman. For Rusi to now focus this smorgasbord of artistic acumen as a teacher of piano is a singular opportunity for her students and will serve as a pillar for their future growth.
