Introduction: My favorite thing about my job is getting the opportunity to help people train their dogs. It is amazing and so rewarding for me to see the pure joy and amazement on someones face when their dog listens to them and stops doing the bad behavior that was driving the owners crazy. And it is amazing for me to see it click for the dog when they realize that doing the right thing and behaving well gets them more attention than if they do things that are more irritating for people than cute.

Jessica helped me out with my pitbull. I was pregnant with my first baby and I was worried about how my pitbull, Dash, would act when my baby got here. Jessica not only went over basic obedience with us, but she also worked with us on jumping, barking, and how to incorporate Dash with the family when our new baby came into our lives. Jessica also cared for Dash when my husband and I were in the hospital delivering our new bundle of joy. I had a great experience with Jessica and her business.

My dog Dixie is a little challenge. Within a week my dog went from lunging at food when dropped, to completely ignoring dropped food. Also to leaving me alone while I am eating. While we are still working through some thing with Jessica, the improvements I have seen are amazing. Dixie loves seeing Jessica and looks forward to our training sessions. She has improved the relationship between Dixie and I and we look forward to continuing our training.

FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

Potty training, behavior modification (barking, jumping, digging, chewing), and basic obedience training.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Make sure you get along with the trainer and that they make you comfortable. Also make sure the trainer wants to work with you and not just train your dog. It is important for the trainer to make sure you understand how to train your dog so that both you and your furry friend can have great experiences together.
