- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For commissioned paintings I charge based on size, investment of materials and time taken to create the piece. For Paint n' Sip events, I charge per Artist and will be happy to extend a discount for larger groups. For online classes, I charge per hour. For in-person classes, I charge per hour + time and travel commitment.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When it comes to creating an Art piece for a customer, I usually like to first get a feel for the customer's vision before giving any suggestions. Once I let them give me good idea of what they really want, I begin with telling them my expertise and making suggestions to further evolve their vision. I make little studies to show them the visual before working on the original painting for the canvas or mural. I'm always happy make any changes the customer needs to really make the vision come alive! :)
