First things first, Robert was very professional, knowledgeable, and he made sure that things were exactly they way i wanted them. i am very happy with the way my home theater looks and sounds now, the previous owners of my house made a horrible mess with the speaker wires, Robert fixed all of it. im really thankful for his ability to do everything right the first time and for a reasonable price. i would highly recommend him again to anyone!!! thank you so much, i will use his expertise again

I hired Jose on a Friday afternoon to demolish my courtyard after we had flooding after a big rainstorm and faulty exterior drainage at our 30-year-old large custom home. He had a crew of five men here the following Saturday morning working by 8 AM. They did everything he promised quickly and efficiently on time and on budget. I highly recommend him.

Dustin was professional, knowledgeable, timely, and all-around a great person for the job! Mounted our tv beautifully above our fireplace for a very fair price and even gave a consult for another tv/room we are considering. We will definitely be calling him for our next home theater project!

Andrew did a great job setting up our home entertainment system, utilizing the space in a fairly small cabinet. He was on time, worked quickly and had everything he needed to do the job. Even took the time to help me understand how to use it all. Great experience. Highly recommend!

We received information that our shower would require some updating due the deteriorating nature of its foundation. The tile was also very old and not cosmetically pleasing. So we took this as an opportunity to update the shower and its tile, and also replace the old vanity and mirror. Not a huge job, but certainly a tedious one due to the install of the tile. We received quotations from other contractors; however we decided to go with James at Jamestown Design in the end. Pricing was on par with the other quotes received. Lead time of the project was also equal to what the other contractors had projected. What lead us to our final decision? James gave us a level of confidence, which the other contractors could not match, ensuring that the job would be done to our expectations 100%. The demo of the old shower went flawless. James carefully prepared the surrounding areas by laying down covers over everything, and even including the floor to reduce the amount of debris caused by the demolition. James showed up on time every day and left as quietly as he arrived. Every day he made sure that all of his tools, or whatever that was required for the job, was organized and off to the side & out of the way. As with any job unexpected issues can and will arise. More specifically, there was Black Mold found on one of the walls behind the shower. James brought this to our attention and recommended that we take care of this prior to completing the shower. He priced out the repair accordingly and with our approval he took care of it. James did not suggest anything that was unnecessary – This was certainly appreciated. Our bathroom and shower came out exactly how we wanted. The tile looks amazing and the quality of work is nothing short of exceptional. Apparently James does it all! He also was very helpful when it came to installing new doors in each of the rooms to our house. James is a great honest guy who does great work. We would certainly recommend James to any of our friends/family…And would most certainly have him do another project in our home when that time comes. Look no further than Jamestown Design.

I would highly recommend Michael for any of your TV or home theater needs. He was able to install one of those tricky Mantlemounts quickly, and without the help of another person. I was missing a wire that needed to be concealed and Michael went through, step by step on how to do it by myself. He even offered to come back, free of charge, to install it if I couldn’t. He worked quickly, but took the time to make sure everything was working properly and explained everything to me when I had questions.

I found Brendt Finley Construction (BFC) online at Thumbtack as part of a first pass search for a general contractor for my home project. After obtaining 6 different estimates, Brendt was one of three that responded timely and requested to come out, discuss/review the job site and ultimately provide an estimate. He provided a clear and understandable overview of the construction requirements needed to accomplish the job without all the “required” extensive modifications the other contractors noted. The entire project was planned very diligently and conducted with great attention to the details; starting with preparation to the very final part, the clean up. Brendt patiently worked with the city of La Mesa’s building division to understand and obtain the required permits. He coordinated his schedule as well as that of his sub-contractors to maintain my tight timelines. He even worked closely with me on evaluating and coordinating an additional sub-contractor I selected to provide service for the project. I should also add that during the whole time, there was outstanding communication which afforded consensus on proposed changes by both parties. Based on the quality of the work and management of the overall project, I immediately requested another quote from BFC for another home improvement task before he could be booked again. Brendt was able to fit in my second project and finish to meet my schedule. Again, the quality of work and attention to detail came through. I would highly recommend BFC as the general contractor for your home project.

David is super helpful and has great correspondence. Went above and beyond in research and troubleshooting a piece of pretty obscure gear I was trying to integrate with my home theater setup. Provided me a comprehensive summary on how to proceed before ever billing me a dime. Great value and attention to client!
