I hired Excellent Party Rental for my daughter's wedding in Carlsbad. Ramiro was excellent at answering my questions, drawing up an invoice (which I revised half a dozen times!), and being very flexible with those ongoing changes, right up to two days before the wedding. He arrived right on time and had everything we needed. Unfortunately, there was a problem with the table cloths--he had used a new cleaner for his linens and they had done a terrible job. Although the linens were labeled, on hangers and covered in plastic, when we took them out, there were stains and even food on many of them. This was the morning of the wedding! I called Ramiro, and he immediately drove 40 minutes with new linens. He provided exactly what we needed to have a great event--tables of all sizes, chairs, linens, wine glasses, pilsner glasses, coffee pots and large space heaters. His operation is not a fancy one, but he seems to have access to immeasurable resources, his prices are quite a bargain, and his customer service is tops. Ramiro also came to pick up right when planned. He was a pleasure to work with! I highly recommend Excellent Party Rental. I'm sure he has worked out cleaner situation by now. That was my only complaint, and since he remedied it right away, he deserves 5 stars.

I originally requested help with the wedding design aspects only, as our venue provided a "day of". LV was the first coordinator I met through Thumbtack and I knew then that I wanted to hire her. She was able to vividly capture my vision. After thoroughly going through everything needed for planning and the big day with LV, I decided to hire LV for the months leading up to the big day as well as a Day Of Coordinator. The site coordinator was more of a "venue manager" whereas LV was beside me the whole day. I recommend her services.

Maggie was absolutely fantastic! She put together our Baby Shower that left everybody including my wife and myself mesmerized by the beautiful atmosphere that she had customized for us. Her attention to detail was impeccable and she went out of her way to ensure total satisfaction with regards to every element of the event, be it the venue and food selection, the decoration elements and even the service at the event. I would not hesitate for a moment in selecting Maggie for any of my future events!

Amazing!!!! I hired LaToya Creations to help with my holiday decor and Christmas scheme and more than thrilled with the outcome. She was attentive to what I wanted but also gave some much needed guidance on what direction to go to take things over the top (I love over the top lol). Any event, holiday, birthday or occassion you have I would highly recommend her over and over again. She is fantastic!

Andrea was a joy to work with for our wedding. We wanted to keep it intimate and decided to do it on the fly, so we needed help at the very last minute and she was up for the challenge! She came up with all the special touches that I didn't even know I wanted (until I saw them) and I was blown away by how thorough she was. She made me feel like a really special bride even though my wedding was non-traditional! I also attended a large-scale charity event organized by Events by Abel last summer. I'd recommend her for both small, intimate weddings and bigger celebrations -- she's attentive, thoughtful, easy to work with, and all around fun! Thanks to Andrea for making our special day so easy and fabulous!

Talissa was so amazing in helping me plan my wedding last October. From the flowers, to the set up of my ceremony, into the reception and everything little Inbetween was beautiful. My wedding would not of looked anywhere close to what it did without her perfect touch. I was so beyond thankful for her in making my special day all I wanted! Plan by Design Events took care of my bridal shower. Of course, as the bride I EXPECT the best and I was NOT disappointed. Priscilla and her team went above and beyond to be sure that everything was very well taken care, to the smallest details to the big demands, they took care of it all. She had great suggestions, ideas and they were able to execute them all. The day of the shower, I wasn't worried about ANYTHING and I was able to enjoy every second of it because I knew Priscilla was on top of it all. Our guests were not bored and they all had a great time. I recommend Plan By Design Events to anyone that is looking for a planner and for ANY type of event. At my wedding Priscilla also took care of all the details and she made sure all the vendors delivered what they had promised. She supervised them and made sure the reception and ceremony locations looked just the way I envisioned them. She went with me to several of my meetings with different vendors, so she knew exactly what I wanted from each of them. The day of, she took care of it all...from making sure the flower girls had on the right shoe laces to the reception center pieces...and once again I didn't have to worry about anything. My husband and I have hired them AGAIN! Now they are taking care of our baby shower. I can't wait to see the final product. Pictures coming soon!!

Charlie Walkrich was the DJ at my wedding in August, and he was *excellent*! My husband and I wanted some music that is outside the norm for typical weddings (i.e. hard rock). Charlie was able to blend in our favorites while still pleasing the entire crowd. He really took our musical tastes into account. We had asked for an extremely out-of-the ordinary song to be introduced to, and even though he didn't have it in his musical collection, he was able to get it for the wedding. We also had a few songs on our "don't play" list, and he stood firm on not playing them even with many requests (and even with a proposed $20 bribe from my sister!!). We had many compliments on how great the DJ was, and how well the music fit the tastes and personalities of me and my husband. Thank you, Charlie!!!

I needed a Wedding Coordinator to decorate the reception venue on the day of the wedding since I wasn’t going to have time to do so, Valentina contacted me and from her initial email I knew she was perfect! Her email stood out from others due to her professionalism and well thought out questions, she came off as someone that knew what the job entailed and asked all the right questions. The wedding was 5 months away Valentina kept in touch and as the date draw closer scheduled a meeting to go over the details meeting her in person just solidified my decision. Throughout the months Valentina made sure to very politely keep in touch with me always offering to help in anything needed despite the fact that I had only hired her for the day of. In the few days before the wedding she contacted me to check on last details, 3 days before the wedding I had to completely change the lay-out and was in constant communication with her for the next 2 days. Valentina went above and beyond to make our day perfect, I really never did worry about the reception decoration because she was in charge she gave me such peace of mind it was really great to be able to trust someone so much and not have to worry. The day came and she did an absolutely great job, she got to the venue early, set up the tables, décor, managed the florist and arrangements, deliveries, picked up a cake, greeted our guests and announced our entrance. Valentina was absolutely amazing and wedding coordination is really her calling, she had great taste decorating the cake table, gift table, everything looked beautiful. She added a few flowers to the cake and sent me a picture for approval it was so classy and beautiful and something I hadn’t thought of. Valentina was a joy to work with, always professional, kind and willing to do a great job she was my best vendor and I’m so grateful for her she saved me a lot of stress and did a great job my guests were blown way and are still talking about how beautiful the reception was. I’m a Project Planner by profession and looked forward to planning my own wedding which was fun, but I would not hesitate to hire Valentina and just let her plan and execute the entire event, in fact had I known her earlier I probably would just have hired and let her design and manage it. I have to start off by saying that Patricia is a very nice and sweet lady. That's one of things I really loved about her. She takes her job very serious and gets the job done! I called her last minute and she still made sure my event (Baby Shower) was very nice and BEAUTIFUL!! I got my moneys worth and everyone loved the designs which made me feel even better.
