Yard Assistant was created to help eager homeowners with landscaping projects. We are able to assist you with micro makeovers for your yard. Our owner, Chris, is a licensed landscaping contractor who brings more than 10 years of construction and landscaping experience to each project. We contacted The Yard Assistant and Chris, the owner responded right away. I had a small budget and didn’t want a complete landscaping job. We wanted to remove a 69 year old lawn inundated with crab grass and every other weed you could imagine, lay down heavy landscaping fabric and lay down mulch to create a starting point. His suggestion to rent a dumpster saved us a lot of money!!! I had the dumpster for a week and filled the whole thing, we had lots of stuff that needed to be removed from the front and backyard. The great thing about The Yard Assistant is we actually learned some things if you wanna do some of the landscaping yourself. That’s why his company is called The Yard Assistant because he assists you with your vision. I can take the time to pick out the plants and create my own vision of what i want in stages. I’m interested in doing a lot of things myself, so this worked out perfectly, and he gave me a fresh clean slate to do so he even moved and installed the sprinkler box from near the front porch so that if I want to put a walkway up to the front door from the street I can. I can hire him again if I feel frustrated and want help. I had multiple estimates done by licensed landscapers and the price was at least double for doing the same thing. All the wood chips were delivered for free by a few tree companies in several different drops Chris and his team spread them all out. I wouldn’t hesitate to use The Yard Assistant again for any projects I may have.

Chris was on time and he went to work right away. He was quick to solve a nonfunctioning sprinkler. I would hire him again.

I would recommend Chris 100 percent. He responded quickly and followed through with a fair estimate for the repairs. Showed up promptly and fixed the sprinklers! He stated with in the estimate and had explained all the costs. Outstanding company to work with. Many thanks Chris!!!

Chris and his team did a great job pruning plants and adding mulch to my garden.
It was a big job on a fairly steep slope, and it looks great. Would definitely hire again

They did a great job. Very efficient. Honest - it came in under the original quote. I plan to hire them again for my next irrigation project. Highly recommend. (Seriously, I've hired a number of different landscapers, irrigation repair, etc over the years and they are by far the best)
