- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Ive been interested in parties and balloon animals ever since I was a little kid. I learned to twist my first balloon dog and 3 years old. My mom taught me balloons at a young age and it stuck ever since. Doing balloon decorations is a whole other level to this skill, but it brings more wonder and fun too.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I recently did an organic balloon garland that took about half an hour to set up. The sunflower garland. I had the challenge of sticking it to a wall with barely any area to attach it to the wall. The hardware I use to mount these garlands are seem less and do not cause any damage to the walls. Making these balloons are just one part of the job, getting creative with mounting them is a whole other process that I believe I’ve mastered.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure you have a visual and know what your getting. The terms for balloons are not very defined from customer to provider. I do my best to understand what people are saying through text. It always helps to have illustrations so people can imagine what they are getting and paying for.
