I was signed up to take a Kaplan course for GMAT prep and was talking to a co-worker about it when they told me their story. They took one of the same Kaplan courses I was signed up to take and didn't get their desired GMAT score. In their second attempt, they signed up for private tutoring with John Easter, one of Elite Home Tutoring tutors, and their GMAT score improved by over 100 points. After hearing this story, I called to cancel my Kaplan class & signed up with Elite Home Tutoring, with a special request to work with John. During my studies, I decided that I wanted to take the GRE instead of the GMAT. I explained this to my tutor John and to Eric at Elite Home Tutoring and the change was so simple. John is not only skilled in GMAT prep but GRE prep as well. So the only thing that would need to change were the materials. If you're looking for the best resources for test prep I highly recommend Elite Home Tutoring. I have no complaints!

Our daughter needed help in Algebra. We found Veronika being a good teacher who can explain math very clearly, but also has the abiliy to talk to the children on a way that they understand and accept. She is also a good example by showing correctness, punctuality and respect.

I hired Gene last summer to help my son get a better grasp on math prior to going back to school. I was not disappointed at all. I had Gene come over twice a week for about 6 weeks or so. By the end my son was ready for 6th grade! The tutoring really helped my son's attitude and confidence going back to school. I asked my son recently if he would like Gene to prep him in July/Aug for 7th grade math and english. He actually said Yes! Gene must be something special if a kid is willing to give up a few of hours each week of his summer vacation for tutoring. Gene is real personable with kids and they definitely like learning from Him.

Joshua has just started tutoring our 11 year old son Noah who originally hated the idea of a tutor. Noah is now not only ok with the idea of a tutor but looks forward to spending time with Joshua understanding the math concepts that have been frustrating him since he began 5th grade. Joshua is patient, calm, and kind.

About

I am a college Math/Music major from Haverford College and I tutor from elementary to high school. Tutoring Subjects: • All basic Math, pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, pre-Calculus and Calculus. For students who want to get ahead, I can help them learn concepts beyond what the classes teach. • Reading, grammar and writing fundamentals. • Biology, Chemistry and any history class from Greek history to AP US History. Music Lessons: • Beginning through advanced instruction in: ~Trumpet ~ Clarinet ~ French Horn • Music theory basics and ear training. • As a multi-instrumentalist, I can help your child find the instrument about which they are most passionate. I've had nearly a decade of experience playing clarinet, french horn and trumpet (as well as most other brass and woodwind instruments) in jazz bands and orchestras. I've coached students and been a private teacher for the past five years. I believe strongly in establishing a strong understanding in music theory but incorporate aspects that keep the student interested in their instrument. I additionally give lessons in film production, photo editing and computer/software use.

I tutor mainly K-6 in all subjects, but I also tutor math -- prealgebra, algebra and Algebra 2. My strength as a tutor is helping students with subject content according to individual strengths, studying strategies and techniques, and development and evaluation of materials. I want to be able to build on their weakness and help them grow to success.
