Hi, I'm Daine! I'm a professional pianist 🎹 and diverse composer based in Southern California near the Los Angeles scene. I currently work as an instructor and social media director for one of the biggest online piano learning platforms for jazz and pop/contemporary piano learning and improvising (PianoWithJonny) and make piano performance and tutorial videos that amass millions of views.
First off, more important than all the fancy stuff I say here in terms of my musical background is that I have a true passion for music, I love using music to move people and to exceed their hopes 🎶. I care about the people I work with and want to give you exactly what you're looking for! I not only work really hard on my craft, but also how I can break it down for my students or tailor it to the event I’m playing for.

For over a decade I've been able to perform and compose in all kinds of contexts for a living in both solo piano and playing with other musicians - including many special events, concerts, musicals, orchestral performances, etc. and work with some of the music industries top musicians which has all been quite a dream come true!
After many years of studying under the mentorship of some of the best teachers in the industry and music education at Berklee college music, Saddleback College & IVC, I now love to play, compose & produce in a variety of styles including jazz, classical & pop.
What I mainly enjoy is the unique emotions all these styles of music can make us feel, and I can certainly bring that variety to you!
I have received numerous awards including 1st place prize in the IVC composition contest. My work has attracted successful artists, record labels and music libraries in the industry received millions of views on Youtube & other social media and has been featured on sites including Buzzfeed.

We love working with Daine. He teaches 3 levels at our house:
-7 year old beginner
-14 year old self-taught who needs to learn better technique
- Adult beginner
He’s been great at changing things up to meet each level and making sure we understand why we’re doing things. He’s polite and on time as well, and has been flexible with our schedule changes. He’s also given us tons of resources for perfecting our technique which have been great. I would highly recommend Daine.

My girlfriend and I have been taking online piano lessons with Daine for about 5 months and it has been great! He’s very knowledgeable and passionate about piano; he has an advanced understanding of theory and has great piano technique. Regardless of your skill level, he will help you and challenge your weak points as a musician. I’ve improved so much more than I was when I was teaching myself. This is coming from someone who take music very seriously and has been playing guitar for over 15 years.

Daine did an outstanding job providing music for our son's rehearsal dinner. He was highly responsive from the first moment that I contacted him. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Please keep in mind that the listed hourly rates are only a BASE price. Most services I offer including piano entertainment and lessons are project based. I factor in several things including time spent performing or teaching, travel time, and other factors that take time including prep, rehearsals, equipment, etc. In most cases, the actual rate will be higher than the price listed! However, I always do my best to keep it as low as possible and fair for both parties 👌🏻
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, I get to know you, what your looking for, and do my best to accommodate everything you ask. For bookings, I ask questions to figure out what kind of music you're looking for, or if the standard repertoire works. For lessons, I figure out your goals, and tailor my methods to get you there as effectively as possible using straightforward simple exercises.
