Megan is totally committed to helping you reach your goals. With her coaching, I was able to completely change my body in less than two months. At first, I needed help with my food choices so I kept a journal and I got daily feedback which was so helpful. Now I know what to do and how to maintain as well. If you are looking for one-on-one attention from someone who cares about your success, I recommend that you check out Every BODY’s Fit. Don't put it off until tomorrow. You will be very happy with the results I'm sure!

Because of her life coaching, my life is transforming because of the Julia's style and technique; she has encouraged me to open up and find out what really are my life's desires. Junior is in this for others - a very giving trainer and passionate individual. I reached out to 100 of the best fitness leaders in San Diego, and was one of the first to volunteer his time to go into areas of San Diego where youth need healthy role models, and teach a workout at our local Boys&Girls Clubs - he's that kind of guy even when nobody knows! He's giving, hardworking, and has great energy. Sheri - run coach, lululemon ambassador, and advocate for the SD fitness community.

Returning to the workforce after being at home with my children felt daunting. Margi, my friend and someone I've admired for many years helped coach me through the transition beautifully. She is an excellent listener, communicator, and helps you break it all down into manageable pieces! She is encouraging and uplifting to work with and I would definitely recommend her to anyone who needs job coaching or any transitional coaching. Lucia P

I was looking for a life coach with more of a holistic spiritual approach. I had been to one for my business a few years ago with great results! I was now ready to invest some time & energy into ME!! I came across Selfenlightened & thought I'd give it a try. I'm so glad I did! Adrianne has a beautiful peaceful presence & is full of amazing insight & knowledge.. She was able to pinpoint where I was in my life so perfectly & has already helped me work through some old patterns that I've been struggling with for years.. And I've only had 2 sessions! Looking very forward to my next one..

Angie Swartz is one of those people who have an uncanny ability to see you for where you are now and where you can be in the future. As life and business coach Angie pulls from a broad base of both business experience and and education. About

With respect to Meditation Instruction, my qualifications are a bit unique. I have practiced meditation for over 30 years, primarily in the Buddhist traditions. However, I can teach meditation either within or outside of a spiritual context. What tends to make a meditation teacher effective are not so much his/her words, as the experiential understanding behind those words. And what generally creates that understanding is the consistent practice of meditation itself . In other words, the mind training that meditation provides. This training of the mind and heart can happen in normal daily life , and it happens especially effectively in silent retreat. I have done countless silent retreats since 1985, and in recent years, for as long as two months at a time. I have been taught (in and out of retreat) by the most renowned Western teachers of mindfulness and Buddhist Insight Meditation, and in 2017, I was authorized to teach in the Western Tradition of Insight Meditation by these teachers.

Wellness Coaching

New To Thumbtack

    About

I offer wellness coaching including nutrition, movement, and meditation. I will be teaching how to meditate easily using appropriate posture, how to easily feed yourself highly nutritious foods, easy exercises or ways of moving to maintain flexibility and strength. I have been doing and teaching these methods for 20 years. I use the Rolf method of structurally integrating the body so it moves easier, breathes better, and has more energy with economy of movement. I will be teaching how to live in a body supported and lifted by gravity which feels comparable to how a fish is supported in water. On my website are many testimonials from people being able to walk again without pain, move freely without pain, feel better about themselves, feel more supported by their body and feeling so much better from my work. I have been doing this work since 2001 and will continue as I receive so much joy being in service to others.

    Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

    What is a career coach?

If you’re interested in furthering your career and want expert help, a career coach is a smart solution. A career coach is a professional you hire to guide you during a job search or a career transition, or to help you improve and advance in your current position. A career coach analyzes your work situation and learns what your professional goals are. They then create a strategy to help you achieve your targets. Throughout the process they should provide objective feedback and guide you in approaching the process strategically. Here are some of the tools and tasks a career coach may assist you with:

    • Helping you build a strong resume that reflects your work history, potential, and skills
    • Coaching for interviews and strategies for solid answers built around your resume and the target job
    • Defining your career goals
    • Creating a plan for job searching
    • Improving networking strategies and skills
    • Developing strategies for negotiating raises or promotions
    • Assessing why you’re not getting where you want to go
    • Identifying new positions or career opportunities that fit your skills

    Why is career counseling important?

Career counseling can help you discover your career path, help you overcome challenges preventing you from finding happiness in your job, or help you learn more about career opportunities that are available to you. Career counselors are typically counselors who specialize in helping guide people into their best career choices. As professionals, they have typically completed a master’s degree in counseling with a focus on career counseling and bring a nuanced understanding of the emotional blocks that prevent someone from doing what they love or getting ahead in their current position. Here are some of the ways that career counseling can help:

    • Identify your skills and talents and how they correlate to different career paths
    • Educate you about the educational requirements for launching in various careers and what earnings can look like
    • Help you understand the kind of environment you want to work in, and which careers are best suited for that
    • See opportunities to transfer your existing skill set to other career areas
    • Help you identify causes of tension or unhappiness in your current career and how to overcome those difficulties
    • Help you create a game plan for moving forward
    • Provide a safe space for you to understand your feelings about career choices you’re making

How much does it cost to hire a career coach?

A career coach provides one-on-one sessions to help you reach your career goals or overcome any challenges you’re having in your career path. The cost to have career coaching can vary based on factors such as the number of sessions you purchase at one time and the experience and rates of your counselor. Career counselors are typically professionals who have earned at least a master’s degree in their field. Based on their academic background, supplemental certifications they have received, and any postdoctoral work they have done, their rates may vary. Typically career counselors offer reduced rates when you sign on for their services on an ongoing basis. A typical price range for career counseling services (nationally) could be $75-$150 per session. Remember to always ask if the career counselor offers a complimentary introductory session. You want to make sure the relationship will be the right personality and counseling style fit to help launch your confidence and upcoming career changes.

How much does it cost to hire a career coach?

When it’s time to take your career to the next level, it’s time to hire a career coach. The cost to have a career coach help you with your professional journey will vary based on how many sessions you require, the level of coaching you desire, and the rates of the coach as determined by their experience, expertise, education and training. On average, career coaching sessions can range from 60 to 120 minutes, depending on the professional and what your needs are. Career coaches in smaller towns and areas with a lower cost of living will also typically have lower rates than those residing in large metro areas like New York, although most do offer remote coaching. Many coaches also offer a free introductory consultation, which gives you the opportunity to determine if their personality and coaching style are the right fit. It’s helpful to ask the coach about their relevant experience and get references from former clients. Depending on the professional, session rates could range anywhere from under $60 to well over $250 per session. Package discounts are a good way to commit to the relationship as well as get savings on services.

    What is a career counselor?

If you’re feeling lost in your career path, overwhelmed, in need of a job but confused as where to start, or ready for change but uncertain what you want, a career counselor is a good choice for you. A career counselor is typically a licensed professional who has earned a master’s degree in counseling — likely with an emphasis on career counseling. Each state has different licensing requirements for career counselors, so be sure to research before reaching out to a pro.

Due to their academic backgrounds, career counselors often have a more holistic and in-depth approach than a career coach. Career coaches are not regulated by states and also tend to be more business-focused — a good fit for those who know what they want but need help achieving it. On the other hand, a career counselor provides guidance and clarity around some of the more emotional aspects that job hunting and career movement entail. Career counselors meet with you in a series of one-on-one sessions. They assess your personality and learn what drives you. They get a detailed understanding of your work history and your hopes, and often work to help you discover any internal blocks preventing you from going where you want to go. Hiring a career counselor is appropriate at any time in your career, from recent graduate to executive-level management.

Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
