- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I decided to become a tutor because I truly miss working with children. In the classroom I was limited in how much time I could provide students with individual help. Even spending recess and lunch helping students was not enough time. While tutoring my focus is on one child only and helping him or her to reach their academic goals.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I have been tutoring students at the college level who are learning English and new skills in order to become hirable. It is so inspiring to work with women that have had to leave their home country and learn a new way of life here in America.
