We hired Anna & Jonathan for my daughter's graduation party. They worked tirelessly at the event and did not even take a single break. Later they did excellent editing and created outstanding pictures. I highly recommend them for your next event! Thanks Anna & Jonathan
Shelly Henley has helped me with a variety of writing/editing projects: resumes, proof-reading, essay editing, cover letters. She is particularly gifted with writing persuasive letters and proposals, I think because she listens carefully, and asks the right questions. She is thorough, fanatical about spelling and grammar, and always completes the assigment in record time. She is a very effective writer/editor! Maren MacAdam Attorney Sacramento, CA
I had been procrastinating for quite some time about hiring a web designer, but was so glad to be matched up with J-357 through thumbtack! From our first conversation, I knew that her great personality was going to be the perfect fit. She was extremely easy to work with, and provided exceptional communication. Being that we live on opposite coasts, I truly appreciated her quick communication and adaptability. She really went above and beyond to work with me across time zones, and was extremely flexible with my schedule. But it didn't stop there...the website that she designed for me is absolutely amazing; it is truly everything I envisioned and more! J-357 provided a training session once the website was complete. She is great to work with if you are not tech savvy, and explains the details in clear and simplified terms. She is extremely patient, takes into consideration your suggestions, and is extremely quick with the edits. Compared to other web designers that I researched, her pricing is extremely reasonable. J-357 provided an awesome service all around. I would recommend this web designer to anyone who is looking for a high quality, professional or personal website. Thanks J-357!
She replies swiftly to her messages. She did a great work in editing my manual.
Due to my diminishing knowledge of English grammar, I searched the Internet for an editor to help navigate the murky byways of periods, commas, verb endings and sentence structure. Thankfully I came upon Steve Dulas, a former copy editor for a local county newspaper in the San Francisco Bay area. I couldn't be more pleased with Steves work. Not only does he have a lifetime career in editing and turning out clean copy, but I found he also carefully reads for content and offers creative and sometimes just common sense advice to look at vague or weak areas so that the narrative flows and is coherent. This advice is always given as a kind suggestion; Steve is never demeaning or heavy handed. Steve reviewed half of my book (45,000 words) in a timely two week period, sending me one copy with the changes and yet another copy with creative thoughts in specific places. It really was an outstanding job. I can happily give Steve a five star reference and am certain anyone would be as pleased as I was to find him. I plan to use him again.
Susan is great to work with. She listens well, is patient and works to incorporate your ideas into the resume. Another thing I like about her is that she has a way of stating things that is catchy and fresh rather than the typically sterile "corporate" manner of summarizing one's work history. This was especially helpful in my case, because my employment history is choppy and I am recently getting back into the professional workforce after a long layoff.
Joe Santos was very helpful. Polite and understanding. I would refer him highly.
Megan is speedy in her replies, considerate and empowering in her bedside manner, and efficient and skilled in her work. She is wonderful and I love having her as my editor!
I am an aspiring writer for non-fiction, fiction, technical writing and resume editing. I recently expanded my writing from fantasy and science-fiction to business and technical writing, along with proofreading and editing.
I am passionate about writing and editing. As a student, I worked in the writing center at my college and aided many peers by reviewing their papers and projects, and improving their grammar. I hope to one day edit film scripts. I'd be happy to help you out!
Innovative AP award-winning writer and editor with an eye for good copy and meticulous attention to detail. More than 30 yearsâ experience in print and online publications. Expert in marketing and communications, writing and editing, and web design and content management for clinical and nonclinical audiences.
I am a retired guidance counselor. My doctorate is published in (ERIC) Educational Research Instruction Center. I have always loved writing and I have helped many of my friends edit their papers. I provide a small network of students from a nearby college with editing services. I find that the topics are interesting and I enjoy helping them present their work in a correct format and interesting style. However, I must confess that I always learn something when I read, and that follows that I learn interesting things when I edit, as well.
I am a two-in-one deal. I have an English degree with a minor in technology that includes HTML5, CSS, Adobe GoLive, etc.
I provide a unique point of view to everything I work on and I treat every project as if it were my own. I strive for perfection.
I'm adaptable and ready to write/edit on any number of topics. I'm a quick learner and have worked (as a writer, copywiter, editor, web writer, marketer,) in a broad range of industries.
I am a published author. My original book was over 3000 pages so I had to cut it down to a series. I have two books out and working on the third one (all from the original book.) I find more content each time I edit so I suspect a long series. I have always had a passion for writing and can usually write 'out of nowhere' which means I can take an idea and run with it. I am best with long papers but that doesn't mean I can't help with short ones. I am fluent in Spanish so I can translate documents or make new ones from scratch. I have also edited other author's work for compensation. I am also well versed in Photoshop if you have graphic design needs for your documents. I have done many brochures, manuals, etc. in my career and I find art is just as fun as writing.
You won't find anyone else here with my level of firsthand knowledge and active involvement in the current publishing market. It's that simple. I know what agents and publishers are looking for in manuscripts, query letters, book proposals, and career authors. I've sold books as an agent, and I've helped freelance editorial and consulting clients obtain representation and traditional book deals. I also run a digital publishing imprint specializing in projects that push the boundaries of narrative.
I have been writing for years, and this allows me to write flexibly based on subject matter. My background in fiction writing means that I can write non-fiction from a variety of perspectives, in a myriad of voices, and for diverse purposes. My love of reading, and passion for storytelling, mixed with an interest in marketing means that I can edit fiction from the perspective of a reader, with respect to the writer's process, and explain the relationship between presentation of the story and the reader's perspective to the writer. This combination and holistic approach to editing can help turn a good story great. My familiarity with fiction editing means that I can edit articles, essays, and assorted non-fiction works and shorter fiction with rapid speed that also does not take away from the quality of thought and attention to detail. Whatever you need written, I can write. Whatever you need me to edit, I can hone. My goal is to work with my clients to realize their vision.
Even the best writers need a second set of eyes, and I'm committed to making your words right. After seven years experience as an in-house copyeditor for an independent publisher in Berkeley, California, I transitioned to freelancing. I now edit for traditional publishers, non-profits, and individuals. While I have a great deal of experience in editing subjects such as mind/body, health, fitness, cooking, and pop culture, I'm always looking for new topics that help keep me learning both personally and professionally.
I have been blessed with the gift of organizational communication - helping others to be the best they can be. These skills transcend into writing and editing as well. Allow me to take the stress of life's impending decisions away.
I can help write/edit papers, and essays for school (middle school, high school) and tutor for math levels up to algebra and pre-calculus.
