I have used many different counselors over the years, but none as professional or effective as Steve Gregor. I went to him for grief counseling, but his effectiveness has extended to all of my life. He is empathetic, compassionate, and very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend Steve to anyone.
Nancy helped me in processing letting go and loving well when my 18 year old daughter moved out with no notice. What impressed me the most was how she had the ability to draw out of me what I was looking for which was validation for my emotions and encouragement for my boundaries I chose to set do to the way my daughter left home. Nancy is without a doubt one of the best counselors I have ever met.
He was wonderful! He is very professional and seeks to help the couple all along the planning process through to your wedding day. What's stands out is how much he truly cares about you. You can tell he does this with the intention of helping couples. He also did premarital counseling for us and we truly made a friend in him. He is a real friend who is there whenever you need him most. When a mistake was made on our marriage license (not his mistake), he was there to help work it out for us without hesitation. Overall, he was knowledgeable, helpful, and truly cares about the people he works with. We were lucky to have him as our counselor and wedding officiant. We highly suggest him!
Would definitely recommend them to my friends and family!
Dr. Paul Joseph Yang is a tireless worker for the gospel of Jesus Christ. He has a heart for the journey of the Hmong in America. His doctoral thesis focuses on a theology of liberation for the Hmong that helps the community find hope, strength and resource through their shared history of Exodus from Laos to the camps in Thailand and after years in the camps, migration to America. Today the children of the Exodus, the 1.5 generation are raising families, seeking a spiritual path and finding their way forward while their children, the second generation are coming of age and achieving amazing success in the new culture. Rev. Yang provides resources for these families in bridging the culture; navigating the relations between elders, parents and children all of whom are struggling to retain important and essential cultural values while also adapting to new mores, gender roles, and the cultural values of this society that can be in stark contrast to traditional understandings. Skilled in navigating these issues, Pastor Yang restores family respect, dignity, unity and self understanding while upholding the value of education, love of neighbor and respect for all. I have worked with Dr. Yang for many years and witnessed his intelligent, competent, faithful diligence on behalf of the Hmong community and transforming hope we have in the good news of Jesus Christ.
Although I've known Raj since I was little, my husband met him for the first time over some "face-time" conversations, and then 2 days before the wedding. Geographically we were on completely opposite ends of the continent: FL and CA. But regardless of how far away we were, Raj was a guiding and calming presence in our planning. The most defining question he asked me during my planning was, "At the end of the day, when the flowers and decorations are picked, try to plan for the moment: how do you want to feel that day, in that moment, and what do want to walk away with?" I said those exact words to a friend that just got married this past weekend which helped her focus on what's important. Weddings can get crazy and chaotic, there's a lot of people in one place and emotions are high. My rehearsal was in the hot sun and everyone just wanted to eat, I'm sure! Raj had everyone get in circle and center themselves and their energy... my husband was really impressed with how he managed that and loved his presence from that moment on! In fact, everyone at my wedding, family and friends, all connected with Raj and loved him. He has an amazing way of reaching out to people. You will never feel judged or scrutinized, only lifted up and empowered for who you are. And at the end of the day, no amount of beauty came from the flowers, the cake, the photography... it all came from what we made it. Our anniversary is in 5 days and I look back remembering all his advice and guidance and he truly MADE it the wedding that we wanted, filled with love and happiness with our family and friends. We are so thankful to have had his presence and involvement in our wedding, it was a huge gift to us!

As a solution-focused therapist, my goal is to help you uncover your true potential and lead a life that is worth celebrating. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life. What you need to know most about me is that I am totally committed to your healing and cleaning up your past, creating new possibilities for today, rekindling your zest for life, and creating a new life you absolutely love and fully participate in. I work with both short-term and long-term therapy clients. My goal is to develop long relationships with clients so that they feel the extra support they need during times of crisis or when they are seeking growth in their lives and relationships. Through the solution-based therapy, I will help you understand the cause of problems, find effective solutions, and learn to live more comfortable. A therapist should be a good fit for a client, so I encourage you to read more about my services or call for an initial session to see if I am the right therapist for you. In addition, I regularly take course work and continuing education in a wide variety of clinical topics to increase and update my knowledge base and experiential learning opportunities. With several years of experience as a marriage and family therapist, I also currently run and facilitate groups for women who are dealing with emotional eating issues. I also am in a partnership with Folsom Lake Fitness where I give bimonthly seminars providing tools and steps to challenge the thoughts and behaviors that prevent many from reaching their weight loss goals.
Relationship issues, depression, anxiety, and addictions often have their roots in early experiences, past traumas, and ways of coping that are no longer working. I help individuals and couples move past obstacles that are holding them back and interfering with the ability to enjoy life in the present. Whether you are going through a stressful period in your life or simply want to take steps towards personal growth my hope is to walk along side you in that journey. One of my main goals as a counselor is to offer a safe, non-judgmental, environment to explore your deepest thoughts and feelings as well as offer unconditional support. I understand how difficult it can be to open up and share your struggles with another person. While taking that first step may feel scary I hope it is a moment we can celebrate together. I collaborate with my clients to develop therapeutic goals in order to discover what may work best. While my approach is rooted in Person-Centered and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy I often use other tools to personalize the process for my clients. I work with individuals, adolescents, and families. Therapy is intended to treat many different types of clinical problems. A licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) is a mental health professional trained in psychotherapy and family systems and licensed to diagnose and treat mental, behavioral, and emotional disorders, individually or within the family system, in a framework of interpersonal relationships. MFTs are concerned with the total health and well-being of the individual and the family within a family system.Therapy is not a “quick fix”. I will work to help you find and improve skills needed to foster personal growth, manage, and overcome difficult life stressors. Therapy requires a commitment by you and/or your family to make changes and improve your overall mental health and well-being. I have experience working with children and adolescents with a wide range of mental health symptoms including anxiety, depression, attachment issues, behavioral disorders, abuse and trauma and I have extensively worked in the field of sex offending with adjudicated and non adjudicated youths. In 2010 I started Sac Family Solutions, a private practice that uses a variety of different interventions tailored specifically to each individual. During this time I have independently consulted for several different school districts to provide educationally related mental health services (ERMHS) for students in special education and social emotional mental health for general education students. I am familiar with mental health in the school system and with educationally related mental health goals on an Individual Education Plan (IEP).
